Andrew photographed our wedding last month and we couldn’t be happier with everything.

The whole process was fuss free and professional. Right from day one we knew we’d picked the right photographer.

We wanted documentary style photography as I’m not great with the camera and even though he is over 6 foot tall we didn’t even know he was there!

We got our photos uploaded to the website extremely quickly and we are over the moon with them. The way he captured the whole day was stunning!

We cannot recommend Andrew more! It’s hard to commit to a photographer. I’d say it was probably the one part of our wedding I was most nervous about booking but we chose very well with LightWorks Photography.

Thank you so much Andrew for all your hard work at our wedding and afterwards too!

My Husband and I got married on the 27th May 2017 and amongst the stunningly hot weather, perfect venue and being surrounded by our family and friends, one of the main contributors to our fantastic wedding day was Andrew of Lightworks Photography.
Ricky and I aren't big on "stand here, look this way" photography and we knew that our choice of photographer would determine how we would be spending some of our wedding day (mainly the 2 hours straight after we had "tied the knot" where many weddings have hundreds of posed photographs). What first made us consider Andrew was his natural style of photography as demonstrated on his website and blog posts. It was apparent that he caught many important moments without needing to stage them or get people looking at the camera.
We loved our "pre wedding" meetings with Andrew - we had 2 because we booked him up over a year in advance. He was very confident and professional but in no way overpowering. Andrew was genuinely interested and excited as he listened to the plans for our big day and he gave us total confidence in our wedding arrangements and confidence that he would be able to capture the things we wanted. It was clear that we could have 10, 20, 50, 1 or no "stand still" posed family photos on the wedding day, it was completely our choice. Andrew even noted down some of the family members we would like to catch naturally talking to us during the day so we would not miss out on family members that needed to be captured in a photograph.
On the wedding day Andrew visited me (The Bride) first at my Mum and Dad's bungalow a good 45 minutes from the venue. He said hello to everyone and then got straight to work. There were some key moments during the morning that Andrew was sure not to miss, but he was so careful not to interrupt us and we all felt completely at ease, at times forgetting we were having our photograph taken.
Andrew then made the trip from my Mum and Dad's home to a pub near the venue where Ricky (The Groom) had a pre-wedding drink. Andrew spent time with Ricky taking photos before getting in the car again and heading to the wedding venue.
The wedding then whizzed by and Andrew didn't stop clicking away capturing every moment. During the 10 or so "stand still, look this way" photographs we did have, our best man and maid of honour got guests ready so that we went through them quite quickly. Andrew was happy for us to improvise with some different shots too.
I would love to comment on the rest of Andrew's work on the day of our wedding, but to be honest, he did just what he said he would and faded into the background as we carried on with our busy day. The last conversation we had was just after we cut the cake and he said "goodbye" in preparation for when he would leave later in the evening.
The thing I can however comment on, which reflects Andrew's amazing hard work on our wedding day, was the beautiful wedding gallery we received via email less than a week after our big day. Andrew had been very busy as we had been getting on with our day and he had captured moments we could not have dreamt of. There were hugs, tears, laughter, dance moves, children running around and even some great shots of our table centres and decorations pre-wedding breakfast. We loved every single photo and do not have enough walls in our house to display every single one!
Andrew’s outstanding work has blown us away and his professionalism, experience and own expectations of quality have shown throughout our experience working with him. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.

We felt extremely lucky to have had someone like Andrew to photograph our wedding. We love his ethos and the style of photo he likes to take - ones which take you right back to a real moment from the day, rather than to a frozen pose. His style very suited to the kind of wedding we wanted to have - unfussy and fun - and his photos show that perfectly.Andrew himself was lovely to work with - my wife said that even if he hadn't been there taking photos she would have wanted him to be there because he was such a nice bloke! He was very experienced and professional and he created the perfect working relationship. Pre-wedding planning meetings happened seemlessly, his communication was always excellent, and on the day itself (the hotest day of the year I think!) we was here, there and everywhere and never flagged, and captured some fantastic moments. We prioritised getting a good photographer out of lots of other elements of the wedding which we took more of a DIY approach to, because the photos are what you have felt for years to come to remind you of the rest, and we're extremely glad we did. Andrew puts lots of time and care into what he does - you can see that from his website and his HOUR long video about the DAY long process of album construction! - and if I were going to put the construction of a book of memories about one of the best days of my life into anyone's hands... well I'm very glad it's in his! Andrew is a fantastic photographer and we would highly recommend his work! We first met Andrew in 2012 when he photographed another family wedding. We love his relaxed, natural, reportage style so it was an easy choice when we came to choose our own wedding photographer. He made our engagement shoot really enjoyable, which was a big relief to us both, as being in front of the camera doesn't come easy. Andrew is surprisingly discreet in his work but still manages to capture emotions and interactions just perfectly. He listened carefully to what we wanted and had an excellent knowledge of our chosen wedding venue. Andrew had our photos ready by the time we returned from our honeymoon and has provided a brilliant service from start to finish. A big thank you Andrew! Emma and Chris. More...

I can't stress how nervous we were about wedding photography, it's such an important decision, made so much harder by the fact that we both hate having our photos taken and hate most photos of ourselves. We were incredibly nervous about the whole thing. Until we met Andrew! We met at the Burwash Manor Wedding Open Day; he was a breath of fresh air, not pushy or aggressive like a lot of the other photographers we had met. We chatted about the nightmare that is (normal) wedding fairs and looked at his beautiful wedding albums. We emailed him the next day, and after a relaxed meeting in his lovely little studio/office, we decided to book. Without a doubt the BEST wedding decision we made. Andrew is wonderful, he is kind and understanding, not to mention a great laugh! He loves what he does, and puts so much care and attention into every detail. You couldn't hope to find a better photographer. He 'got' us and our wedding straight away. All our meetings/discussions before the wedding were professional and friendly, Andrew made sure everything was planned perfectly so there was no confusion. On the day he worked tirelessly (in the sweltering heat!) to make sure he didn't miss a thing, he was wonderful with the guests and made us feel very much at ease. And yes, he really is almost invisible! We were only on the first week of our honeymoon when Andrew sent us our album draft! Beautiful images, arranged perfectly to tell the story of our wedding day. We haven't stopped looking at them since, we can't stop looking at them, they are too perfect! We never imagined we could love photos of ourselves so much, but we do, and it is all thanks to Andrew. We can't express how grateful we are, and how completely satisfied and delighted we are. We would not hesitate to recommend Lightworks Photography! More...

My wife and I have to echo all the other reviews. The service he provides is effortless and he delivered pictures that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. We were looking for a photographer who would be inconspicuous and capture the emotions of people on our Wedding day in July 2013. He delivered this and way more. On the day he was brilliant allowing us to capture a few staged photos to keep the relatives happy while ensuring we got a natural story of the day. The pictures where simply stunning and we ended up using Andrew to print our thank you cards. On top of all this we got an App within a few days so we could see the initial pictures of the day and the full set of pictures within the week. Finally he was happy to make any changes we wanted to the final electronic album! In short he provided a service better than any photographer we met and the photos better than we ever hoped for. We also can’t recommend him enough!! More...

What a fantastic find! Andrew is the perfect wedding photographer. We barely even noticed him on the day but yet he seemed to capture everything! ! Leading up to the wedding Andrew was so easy to work with, and he really listened to what we wanted. Every bride and groom is different but Andrew really wants to get it right for you and what you want. Several of our friends have had Andrew as their wedding photographer too and every one of them has been thrilled with their photos. The amazing natural shots which are somewhat Andrew's signature images are just incredible and will be cherished forever. We cannot reccomend Lightowrks highly enough! Rosie and Chris More...

We found Andrew's website while looking for a reportage style photographer for our wedding in March 2013 in Cambridge, and were immediately taken with his ability to take candid and perfectly timed photographs that capture both the major emotional moments of the big day, but also all the little details that the bride and groom will likely miss in the wedding frenzy. Choosing Andrew was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding. He is thoroughly professional, but very jovial and friendly and inspires confidence that is not misplaced. This trust is very important, as you will have plenty of other things to worry about in the run up to the big day!On the day, apart from during the arrangement of the few organised group shots we wanted, he melted into the background, unobtrusively circulating amongst the guests, and capturing so many wonderful moments for us throughout the day and well into the evening. After the event, he arranged the photographs into a beautiful album that tells the story of the day, and will keep memories of it fresh for years to come. Highly, highly recommended. More...
