I’m a recently retired female and been having weekly lessons with Jay for over a year now as I wanted sing and write my own songs. I’ve never played an instrument before and couldn’t read music so I had some way to go! I was also a tad reticent and bit shy but Jay patience, encouragement and enthusiasm soon brought me out of my shell and comfort zone....I wrote my first song last month and am chuffed that I have a new hobby and skill. It’s relaxing and absorbing....I love it and can’t rate Jay high enough. He is professional but caring so you get a real sense of improvement week on week. Throughly recommend him. More...

Absolutely fantastic teacher, as a beginner Jay was really friendly and I didn't feel under pressure at all, he really makes you feel at ease, I've been going here for quite some time now and have picked up quite a bit, Jay is very versatile in his teaching and is willing to learn just about anything to teach. As a pure beginner I have been taking acoustic guitar lessons from Jay for just over a year. He is a fantastic teacher and makes you feel totally at ease.
He has vast musical experience and a huge knowledge of all genres of music. He has a friendly and relaxed manner and will teach any style and any song requested.
In such a short time I have really benefited from Jay's teaching and have gone further with the guitar than I would have thought possible. Couldn't wish for a better teacher. Highly recommended.
