What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
* Seeing, in your mind, what's about to unfold before it actually does.
* Placing yourself in the best place to capture a moment.
* Understanding your surroundings, and how they impact your camera settings
* Take pictures that capture real emotion - They are the best!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I'd start by asking a bit more about them, their venue(s) and what type of wedding vibe they are going for.
What do you love most about your job?
The best bit about my job is being able to capture real emotions. There's nothing quite like it. Being able to work with so many unique couples and weddings is so much fun. It's my dream job! :)
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always been interested in imagery and I've been around camera's my whole life.
photography started off as a hobby but I would often be asked to photograph events for family members, friends and other local people who had seen my work.
What lead me int wedding photography specifically? Unfortunately, our wedding photographer (although we met him at the National Wedding Show) let us down badly. He did not uphold the contract agreement and left our wedding earlier than agreed, not all the images were provided with key shots missed completely, the image quality was average at best and the customer service was non-existent after the wedding day itself.
Although the experience was awful, it lead me into wedding photography. I pride myself on not being 'that photographer' for my clients.
Why should our clients choose you?
They should choose me if they like my style of photography, and what I stand for. In return, I will deliver the very best of me for them.
