BUILDING REGULATION
Building Regulations (sometimes known as building standards) define how a new building or alteration is to be constructed.
The regulations cover the following areas and will require adherence, even if you don’t need to attain planning permission
When erecting a new building;
When extending or altering an existing building; and
When providing services which can only be inspected by a building control inspector e.g. installing a steel beam/ knocking down a load bearing wall.
