Referred by Mark Wilkinson from Paragon Physiotherapy, I had just 4 months conditioning with Katy to get from being very-not-ready to get to the start line up at Banff and race the Tour Divide, a 2740mile, unsupported, mountain bike race from Banff, Canada, into the USA, down the spine of the Rockies and finishing on the Mexican border. With a programme designed by Katy, weekly studio sessions and daily home-exercises we worked as a team and got me to that start line 8kg lighter and at 55 years old, in the best shape I’ve been for 20 years. Due entirely to the strengthening gained from very specific targeted exercises under Katy’s close guidance I not only made it to the finish, but a racing finish of 56th out of 180 starters was a result way beyond my wildest dreams. Now back to ‘normal-life’ I have carried on with the programme as it’s so transformational and is seeing me keen to do more racing, maybe even try to better my time, another year, on the Tour Divide! I would recommend a programme at KT Fitness to anyone who just wants to do better, get fitter or just keep fit to enjoy life to the full! Chris Ellison, Yorkshire Dales. More...

I was recommended Mark at RunRight by various running friends and I can see why. Back pain had stopped me running for over a year. Mark is brilliant - he told me that manipulation (which various other physios had done on me over the years) was never going to work for me. We worked on strength for several weeks before he even started me running. Now I can run right for the first time in my life with no back pain. It hasn’t been easy - you’ve got to work hard and he is a hard taskmaster- but it’s worth it. He gives a hundred percent in every session so I always felt I should too. If you’re prepared to work hard to get results Mark is the man (I’ve heard great things about Katy too). Thank you Mark - you’re a legend. More...

Fantastic session with Katy this evening. Thanks to Mark for reassuring me that RunRight isn’t just for elite or ‘good’ runners but also for plodders like me. Thank you Katy for your patience, support and encouragement. I would absolutely recommend RunRight to anyone who wants to enjoy running- Mark and Katy know what they’re doing and if they can get a couch potato like me to work this hard and do exercises at home too, just imagine what they can do for you! Just do as they say! More...

I went to see Run Right after suffering a seemingly endless cycle of Achilles, Calf & Hamstring injuries over the previous couple of years. Thanks to the great work of Mark and Katy putting me through my paces I have completely changed my running style from “heel striker” to mid foot striker, have lost over a stone in weight and am now stronger and fitter than I have been for at least 35yrs. I have recently run the Kielder 10k Trail race in Northumberland and the Sue Ryder Bolton Abbey 10k Trail race here in Gods Own County completely injury free and cutting over 2m 30s off my best time for each, who says we have to get slower as we pass 60? Now i’m aiming to cut another 2 mins off my time next year. More...

I went to see Mark and Katy after a hip injury prevented me from running. Right from the start they were very supportive and clearly explained the process. Mark organised a scan to check the injury on the same day as my first appointment and after determining there was no serious damage put me on a course of exercises to strengthen my weak areas. I’m really starting to feel the benefit of the conditioning work with Katy and I’m already seeing a big difference in my run using my new found glutes and putting in to practice the changes that Mark has made to my running form. I’d really recommend RunRight for any runner, my only regret is that I waited until I was injured. More...

The run right team took a holistic approach to my specific needs and running characteristics; giving me realistic exercise targets & advise to help achieve my running & fitness goals. From my initial discussions for chronic post exercising joint pain, through to a successful change in running style, improvement in strength and stamina, Mark & Katie were there to discuss, tweak and encouraged throughout my process. They have excellent 3rd party support if needed. After, Mark’s initial assessment of my chronic post exercise joint pain, I elected to have a referral for specific professional advice & 3D modelling for my orthotics. This helped changed the game for me. Sure the technique, strength & conditioning sessions were challenging, but with my commitment to conditioning and stamina practice at home/gym, I built upon each successive session, improving technique, strength and stamina; beating and stretching goals along the way. If at 53 years old, I can make this remarkable difference, so can you. I may not have the six pack... yet, however, if you want to run like athlete, you need to train like an athlete... Mark & Katie will help you get there. Ripley. More...

I attended a RunRight workshop out of curiosity at Aireville Leisure Centre earlier this year. The workshop was well attended and Mark and Katy explained the fundamentals of the RunRight approach and I was lucky enough to be selected from the group for an initial running gait analysis. Mark appraised my running technique and although he identified scope for improvement, I was pleased to receive some positive comments. This was particularly reassuring as less than 2 years earlier, I had a nasty accident on my bike and broke my femur which is plated and pinned. I followed this up by attending a full assessment with Mark at the RunRight gym. I received a thorough analysis and received critical but balanced appraisal with clear advice on what was required to improve my running performance. Since then I have had regular training sessions with Katy, undergoing conditioning workouts plus homework. This focus on specific muscle groups (particularly my glutes and core) has been essential to enable me to adapt to a more efficient running style. The workouts have been challenging but already I am seeing (and feeling) a real difference. I want to run faster but my overriding aim is to develop better running efficiency to protect me from injury and try and ensure that my running is sustainable for years to come. I am confident that I made a smart decision to contact RunRight to support me in achieving this ambition. More...

Katy’s sessions are brilliant so much so I have been going to her most weeks for over a year now. I enjoy that whatever the aim is I have she adapts the sessions to ensure that the goal is reached. Katy not only provides physical training but also talks through anything that is stopping you mentally from reaching potential at that time. I enjoy every session with her (even if I do tell her from time to time I hate her ) and I enjoy training with her now as a friend. Her work ethic is second to none and she is very dedicated to her job and will get you to whatever your goal is. More...

I first started seeing Mark after hip pain developed when trying to run to get fit and after some initial treatment we moved onto run retraining. Between Katy and Mark I have had the fitness and ability to run and the training is invaluable as I now don’t just run I think about it and perform far better than before and I am pain free. Their help has given me the confidence to enter race for life and a competitive 5k run this year and I am aiming for my first 10K next year. More...

Having had a hip replacement in 2016 I needed someone who could rebuild my fitness and Katy was the person who did that. Fitness programmes are set to suit individuals and Katys attention to detail is brilliant. She is great at pushing you to try exercises you didn't think you could do and is a fantastic motivator. She encourages you to maximise your potential at whatever level that is . 2 years on and I am still seeing Katy who continues to develop my fitness . Whatever your personal goals may be Katy will devise a great programme for you. I like her holistic approach to fitness and nutrition . For me she was indeed a great find ! More...
