This was our second visit in a month, this time with friends. I had the best lamb biriyani I've tasted in years. The food is excellent, service very good. I would recommend it.

We were a slightly drunk, possibly quite noisy (apologies...!) party of four, arriving quite late on a weekday evening after a Cider Event nearby. Other guests were just about to pack up. The service was excellent and prompt and the food was well above the standards of the typical Indian restaurant, maybe with the exception of the Goan Fish Curry which had a very good sauce but the pieces of monkfish were, I think, previously frozen and defrosted in the microwave, therefore quite dry and hard, FRESH fish it was not. Naan bread excellent, vegetarian choices excellent. The décor is very much 'traditional' as in a 1980's restaurant, white table cloths, etc, in my view it could do with a revamp, modernisation etc., but some people may like it. Mr Kabir the manager obviously is proud of his restaurant and he and his staff deserve to be very successful. More...
