In search of a painter to repaint our Living Room 22/09/2020.We got in touch with Amos Decorating.Mr Amos told us that he had just been let down on a job and for that reason he could come and paint our living room on 24/09/2020 and it would be finished on 25/09/2020. He asked for us to send pictures of our living room.On his request we accepted and confirmed his quote (email).In a telephone conversation (23/09/2020) Mr Amos said that he would be with us at 08H30.We cleared our living room of paintings, furniture..He did not turn up and did not return our phone calls (09H45 12H15.)The excuse was that there was coronavirus in his daughter's school and he had to look after her at home but that it had turned out to be a false alarmHe offered to come and do the job the next day at 08h30 but he did not turn up instead he sent an email saying his wife (a carer) had an urgent assignment and he had to stay at home to look after his daughter.If one can believe it. Excellent service, assiduous in preparation, price competitive, very knowledgeable, flexible and helpful to client needs, tidy and clean workmanship, shows a genuine pride in his work, offer to return to final fix following other work. Happy to include small extras that cropped up, but kept to a timetable and worked very hard. This was a very positive experience at a time of stress following the flood and then virus restrictions.
