Brought a fridge freezer today from kds. Amazing responsive and friendly. Andy was fantastic and I had my appliance in less than an hour! ! Andy helped to lift our appliance to the first floor too. My Kitchen was installed by KDS west bridgeford Nottingham. Very happy with the quality of product. Mr Andy came out and designed my kitchen. Fitters were excellent and they finished the project within the timeline which was given. However we had compromise with the handles and knobs which were not our original choice. There were also some problems with the drawer adjustment which I highlighted this to Mr Andy several times but there is no response. Another issue is a corner unit which has a gap and again nothing has done to rectified or fixed . After customer care is a little poor. We decided to update our kitchen and called KDS Kitchens for a design and quote. Andy, their design consultant, came, measured and designed our new kitchen. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and very importantly listened to what we wanted. His quote was very competitive and we decided to go ahead. The kitchen is now complete and we love it. Everyone involved in the fitting of our kitchen, floor and worktop were very polite, clean and professional. We had a new kitchen and bathroom designed and fitted by KDS of West Bridgford recently. All the staff we met in the Showroom and the workers were very friendly and polite as was Andy, the owner, who visited us to measure up and advise with the best options available. We had the kitchen fitted first by father and son, David and Dave who did an excellent job removing the old units and old tiles before fitting the new units, work surfaces and all the plumbing work. Their work was neat and tidy. The kitchen cabinets, drawers and work surfaces are excellent quality; strong and well made. We purchased our own oven and microwave combi oven which was connected by Ian, the electrician, again another polite and friendly chap who also connected the hob and overhead extractor fan as well as some new power points. Our bathroom involved removing the bath completely and installing a false wall to form a large square shower cubicle plus a sink and vanity unit the other side of the false wall where the end of the bath used to be. We love it! Simon, the joiner/plumber, worked really hard ensuring everything fitted well and worked properly. He built the partition wall which was installed with the shower tray on day one after his assistant, Tracy, worked wonders removing all the tiles and bathroom furniture. Simon fitted the shower, toilet, sink, vanity unit, a heated towel rail, 2 mirrored wall cabinets, a roller blind plus towel ring and toilet roll holder and boarded the floor; nothing was too much trouble for him. Although the removal of the old tiles created mess and dust, it was all cleared away neatly and swept up daily. The stairs and hall carpets were covered with a plastic protection before work commenced. All the tiles, old bath, toilet and sink were taken outside and piled up ready for removal by Paul, I think his name is, who did a thoroughly neat and methodical job of sorting through the rubbish for recycling and left no mess behind once he'd left. He also removed the rubbish/debris for the kitchen; a lovely, friendly chap. For three days, Pete the tiler, did an amazing job fixing the tiles (we purchased ourselves from Tile Mountain) in our bathroom which went around some tricky corners too. We had all the walls tiled floor to ceiling. His work is very neat and accurate and he worked tirelessly to finish the grouting before it dried out because the weather was very hot that week. I provided them with a large pedestal fan as there was no shade in the bathroom. Ian fitted an extractor fan to the ceiling directly over the shower which extracts through a hose in the loft and out through a vent in the soffits. He sourced this for us and it works really well; no steam and it is quiet. Lastly, but not least, Rob fitted Karndean floor tiles in both our kitchen and bathroom and they look and feel fabulous. We are very pleased with the flooring and Rob did an excellent, professional job. He visited us before the kitchen was fitted so we could decide on the type of flooring we wanted. Overall, we are pleased with the kitchen and very pleased with the bathroom because the bathroom is completely transformed. However, we did have a couple of issues which have all been resolved but some took a bit longer than we would have hoped. Our biggest disappointment was the cancellation of our scheduled date for the kitchen refit with less than 48 hours' notice. We weren't in any particular hurry to have the kitchen done but we had emptied everything out so had to manage for an extra 2 weeks before the work commenced. The hob splashback was the wrong size so we had to wait 2 months for one the correct size to be fitted. As I said, overall we are pleased with the refits and we still intend to have our downstairs toilet refitted by KDS at some stage. More...

Had a kitchen and bathroom. What can I say”amazing” from start to finish, I couldn’t be happier. KDS managed the whole project from start to finish and their prices are amazing too, I’d had several quotes from DIY stores and arranging my own fitters but there was little in it price wise but quality wise I had made to measure products and KDS professional tradesmen installing them, project managed. Andy came and designed us the most amazing “boutique” bathroom. Due to illness and disability I had to have the bath taken out and Andy designed me a beautiful walk in shower. Absolutely love my new bathroom. Had an existing bathroom and toilet made into one room and new bathroom fittings installed. Andy was so helpful in terms of the design and suggestions for the component parts. I was a bit worried when he suggested the company could make some bespoke units as I thought this would be likely to be beyond my budget. It wasn't and so I have some lovely bespoke ///touches including a large storage units for towels etc. and a recessed shelf in the shower wall for toiletries. I wanted the toilet and my existing bathroom making into one and I absolutely love my new bathroom from KDS. Andy was so helpful in terms of the design and choice of bathroom parts. When he began talking about the creation of 'bespoke units' I expected it all to be out of my price range and was very pleasantly surprised when it wasn't. Therefore, the new bathroom now has bespoke touches like an inset shower storage 'cubby hole' and a large built in storage unit for towels etc.

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM FOR BATHROOMS. They use a different team of workmen to fit their bathrooms than the team who do their kitchens. We had two bathrooms fitted in 2020 (work started in July and finally finished in November after many delays). We have had many problems along the way, particularly with leaks from the showers to the rooms below. KDS came to assess the leak from the main bathroom and after initially telling us we would either need to rip out the newly fitted shower tray (including removing the shower screen and damaging the newly fitted tiles), or pull down the lounge ceiling to access the shower tray from below, they replaced the sealant around the waste pipe and the problem appeared to be solved. Except we now have the same leak appearing today, 7 months later. In total we paid over £16,000 to KDS for fitting and supplies (including shower trays, sinks, toilets, radiators, taps etc), plus extra for other items we sourced ourselves (tiles, flooring, towel rails, mirrors etc). The items supplied by KDS are very poor quality. At the price we paid, we expected the bathrooms to work without problems for at least 10 years, not less than 10 months. AVOID THIS FIRM. More...

The thing I liked about KDS is when Andy visited, rather than follow my ideas (something the other suppliers did), he did the design himself and it was better than mine. I could also see the quality was better than suppliers like Howdens. When the kitchen was installed there were a few broken bits and we did have to chase a bit for the replacements, but in fairness they were all replaced in the end and we've ended up with a kitchen we are happy with. Dreadful after- sales service; I am still waiting after 3 months for snags to be fixed and a reply to my recent email requesting KDS intentions. Unfortunately I have paid in full for the job. I had no alternative. Andrew comes over as a very clever business man. Unfortunately he doesn’t relate or have any respect for his customers individual requirements. Andrew Scott has now received a formal notification from my solicitor relating to my strong complaint and dissatisfaction. The reply from KDS contained untrue statements ….. Lies. We haven’t finished with this case yet. I am currently awaiting a building inspection. Fortunately we have several photographs taken during the bathroom assembly showing ‘dodgy’ workmanship. Highly recommended. Andy (sales), Nick and Wayne (fitters) were all great - the old kitchen was removed and the new one fitted in 3 days. The old kitchen/rubbish was collected and recycled where possible straight after. The tiler (Pete), electrician (Ian) and flooring company (Rob/Lyndsay Flooring) who were all recommended by KDS, were also great - thanks to all and for taking the time to alleviate my (unnecessary) worries!
