Couldn't be happier with the service we received. We had a couple of estate agents out to value our property. The chap that came out was really friendly and very knowledgeable of the area etc, much better than the lady from the other estate agent who just bragged about how many houses she has sold in the area and generally just got my back up. I decided to list with only kimmit and Roberts. House went live on the website 3pm on a Friday afternoon and by 4pm they called and had someone interested. Viewing was arranged for the Wednesday evening. House was sold for asking price the following morning. They have been brilliant following that with advice with solicitors and just following everything through. I had several local agents out, like my friend said I should after she sold her house recently in Middlesbrough. The man who came out from Kimmitt's clearly knew more than the others about the local market. I decided to just go with them not sure that the others should deal with my move. Everything happened like they said it would. Can't praise Amy enough kept me up to date throughout and when things got complicated her and Jonathan really made it all happen. Having rented a property through Kimmitt & Roberts for the last 18 months I have found them to be very professional and would recommend them if you are buying, selling or renting a property in the future.

My father in law passed away and he left his house to my wife and I aswell as her two siblings. We were recommended to use Kimmet and Roberts by a friend who had used their sales team in Houghton. David Kimmet came to visit us and advised us on the best way to deal with the selling of the home, the viewings and the offers. He advised us that he belived the property would have quite a high level of interest, and recommended we offer the property to the market using Sealed Bids. A method we had never really heard of before. We were a bit dubious about this, but went along with it. The property was entered on the market, individual viewings carried out and a deadline for the entry of sealed bids was specified and stressed to all who viewed. The viewers were also encouraged by Kimmets to provide a snippet of information about their plans for the house. This was very important to us as we felt the home should go to a family or somebody who wanted to live there. All of the way through we were kept informed of the viewing levels potential offers we expected to recieve. The day following the closure of the sealed bids we met David back at the property, we opened the bids and he gave advice on the best offer to take. On a side note we got an offer of nearly £20,000 over the On the market price. Something we could never really of imagined. We subsequently met the lady who offered and sold to her. I cannot reccommend this agency highly enough. Not only did they get the job done in a manner I was particularly unfamiliar with, they did it with care and sensitivity, especially surrounding the circumstances and the death of a family member and letting go of a house that had been in the family for over half a century (and most importantly, dealing with my very emotional wife).
