Such an amazing school, I have a guitarist and drummer (9 & 5) that have come on leaps and bounds in such a short space of time here.

Joe Bailey taught me to play and understand guitar when I was honoured enough to be in a band with him when we were younger. I'm sure with no doubt that his current teachings are beyond and above the expectations of aspiring guitarists in the North Kent area! More...

Hi
I have only just started having lessons with Joe at Guitarstudio1 but already I am playing along to backing tracks etc. His style of teaching is very simple and relaxed with no pressure. Just right for those of us who have full time jobs Thanks Joe

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE - KGS is for all ages.
Don't keep thinking about it - do it. Join the Kent Guirar School - it's a great place to achieve your dream.
I enlisted a year ago following a three-lesson 70th birthday trial present from my family. I have enjoyed every lesson and home practice ever since and due to Joe's teaching methods, individual student observation, and patience I have progressed to such an extent that I am already achieving my dream of playing some of my favourite tunes.

My son has just started lessons with Kent Guitar School and he already loves it. He came out of his first lesson with a huge smile on his face saying he really enjoyed it and he liked the tutor too as he was kind and patient. From a parents point of view, who has no clue about guitars, I found the tutor (Joe Bailey) very approachable and really appreciated the extra advice on which one to buy guitar and equipment to buy! I would definitely recommend him. More...

I'm still learning with Joe but honestly, I couldn't give this guy enough credit. He's so friendly and makes you feel welcome. He took into account what I already learnt and progressed from that. Rather than other tutors who tend to start from scratch. Top bloke and can't wait to carry on learning! More...

I had my first lesson with Joe last week and already i'm playing guitar with more confidence! I learnt more in one lesson with Joe than I did in several lessons with my previous guitar teacher. I took part in a group lesson which I really enjoyed and would definitely recommend. Further more Joe also offers private lessons, so there's always the option to learn privately if that is your preference. I'm really pleased I found Joe! More...

I've been meaning to learn the guitar since I was a teenager, and finally after thirty years of good intentions I finally started taking lessons. Joe is relaxed talented teacher who managed to coax out a tune from the first lesson I had with him. Great structure to the lessons and homework. Really enjoying the progress I'm making. More...

It's been great learning the guitar with Joe, right from the first lesson I was able to play a tune. He's very laid back and makes you feel at ease. He keeps things simple but when he thinks you're ready, he gives you slightly more difficult tasks to learn, which stretches you a bit. There's always a very good atmosphere in the lesson's with a lot of interaction. He also introduces such things as jamming sessions where people of all standards can join in, I took part in one recently and it was great fun, especially as we got to play other instruments such as drums and bass guitar. I'm not normally one who sticks at things but Joe makes it very enjoyable, which makes it easier to keep practicing and attending lessons. More...

I’ve seen Joe for electric guitar lessons just a couple of times but it’s only the start of a long riffing relationship! I’m lovin’ it. If I had any doubt I’d enjoy learning to play guitar, it was quickly dispelled by a relaxed and fun first lesson. Joe’s easy to get on with, no fear there. It’s fair to say I lack confidence but Joe didn’t make me feel self-conscious at all. He’s got the patience of a saint (but then you have to have when you’re a teacher / tutor). Not sure how he manages hearing the same riff over and over again though, day after day… Suffice it to say, I did learn a riff or two in just my first lesson. Simple stuff, but confidence building all the same. Wish I’d started lessons when I was younger. Good fella, knows his stuff and really helpful when you need advice between lessons, including about what guitar / equipment to buy. Choose Joe. More...

I enjoyed my first guitar lesson more than I thought I would and am already looking forward to my next – I’ve suddenly become geeky about amps and guitar cables. That’s probably to Joe’s credit – the enjoyment, not the geekiness. He sets out the format for his lessons before you get going so you know what to expect over the coming weeks and months. It’s not just strumming a guitar – expect some theory too, listening skills, that sort of thing (although we haven’t got to that yet). His studio is a relaxing environment to learn in. I feel like I’ve found the right person to teach me how to play guitar and I’d definitely recommend Joe Bailey. More...

I've been having lessons with Joe for nearly two years now. He obviously knows his stuff and we get theory and listening exercises along with the chance to practise songs that we want to learn. Joe's lessons are non threatening, non competitive and relaxed. Joe also throws in some freebies such as videos, lesson notes and sometimes free jam sessions or the chance to get together with other students, and it is really playing with other people which is the point of making music anyway! Keep on rocking Joe! More...

In the short time I have been learning I have had the opportunity to learn various tunes along with being able to say what I would like to learn.
