I worked with Alex for a few days. His deep knowledge and love of dogs is unparallele to others I have met. He talks and understands about dogs drives, health, commands all which lead to a happier balanced dog. Popped our babies Echo & Shadow in for over a week while we went on honeymoon. Its a fantastic kennels and they genuinely do this for the love of dogs! I wouldn’t trust anyone else! I found this brand-spanking new kennels whilst looking for anywhere half decent in the Aberdeen area. The owners are fantastic, and the staff are brilliant too. Our original Bully dog Bella spent a week here, and came home without any problems (she loved 'fighting' with Alex)Then we got another young English Bulldog boy, Charlie, and the two of them have been in together twice. I'm fairly sure they've been challenging guests, but they come home perfectly happy, and I'm more than happy leaving them in Nikki and Alex's safe hands!! More...

We use the day boarding at Lynwood for our 9 month old GSD and he loves it, he is always happy to see Alex. Alex is great at helping us maintain our training and we are seeing a great improvement in the time he has been going.

My husband and I went to visit Lynwood kennels today for the 1st time along with our Rottweiler Zeus to have a look around to see if we wanted to put him into the kennels. Well to say I was amazed is an understatement the kennels are superb so much more room for your dog than other kennels we have visited and the cleanliness was great not one messy in any kennel you can see the dogs are well cared for and taken out the amount of times they say they get out. Alex was great answered any questions we had and our dog Zeus loved him he had a wonder about the place too and didn’t want to leave. We have booked our boy in later on this year and we are also putting him in for some day boarding so he gets used to the place. After 16 years of owning dogs and never being able to put them in kennels as we have never found ones suitable we have finally found somewhere we are happy to board our dog and know the staff will look after him 100% and give him the love and attention he is used too. My guys really like going here, the dedication they give to making sure the dogs are happy and relaxed is brilliant. As the owner of a fairly nervous dog who takes time to relax around strangers this was really important to me, after only 2 visits my 3 Border Collies were pulling me towards the kennel, then on pick up were happy and relaxed as though they had been at home.

Our three German Shepherd dogs have visited Nikki and Alex on several occasions over the past 6 months or so, and they really enjoy their stays.

The kennels are good - the larges ones are big enough for a family of three GSD boys! They have an excellent play/exercise area and plenty of space for varied walks for any breed of dogs.

On return visit, the dogs are happy and keen to meet and say hello to Alex and Nikki, and happily walks into their 'room', It is also obvious that the dogs eat well there - which hasn't usually been the case when boarding at other kennels.

We have already booked the summer vacation stay, safe in the knowledge that the dogs will have a nice holiday! More...

Just picked my two springer spaniels from lynwood today and I can't fault the kennels in anyway they have treated my dogs so well and have had a lot of patience with them as they are very nervous dogs they came home very happy dogs. I visited Lynwood Kennels over the weekend as I was curious to know just how good these kennels were.
The site was easy to find using a Sat Nav with a Postcode and has additional signage once you get close by. The front entrance is gated and after coming through the winding tree lined driveway it opens up into a secluded yet fresh and large area; comprising Visitor/ Check-in area, a generous hardstanding car park, a 25m x 25m (approx.) enclosed play exercise area (with tunnel and toys), an Open training field, Main Kennel Block and a separate Isolation Kennel for those dogs not feeling too well.
I was told all of the facilities were installed mid-last year and it still has that air of ‘sparkle’ new!
The Owners Alex and Nikki live on site 24/7 with their young family. They showed me round the site and wow, I was very impressed – no room was off limits as they proudly showed off their hard work! The Main Kennel Block is impressive outside as it is inside. It was thermostatically heated and each individual kennel had its own additional heater and clean beds. Each inside bed area led out through a hatch way to a fully ‘unescapable’ sunshine and fresh air filled run.
What I found different to other kennels ive visited was it was so so quiet. It was rare to hear a dog shouting. This for me meant that the dogs were settled and not stressed.
There were three, supervised, German Shepherds (from the same family) in the enclosed play exercise area. The Kennel Staff were giving some great interaction to the dogs and you could tell they were all having fun together.
Alex explained to me that they were managing to do such a good job that they were looking to increase the business further with an additional kennel block! It seems they cant keep up with the demand of returning customers and new referred dogs!
Also, Lynwood Kennels are hopeful to break out into the Dog Training World and make use of the huge Open Training field.
Good security was in order across the site and both Alex and Nikki displayed good dog handling skills. I watched a dog handover from a couple going away on holiday. Their dog, who has stayed before, didn’t even so look over its shoulder as he was gladly checked in wagging his tail and following Alex off to his holiday home.
I am told that Nikki can be found hiding from her family chores by sitting in the kennels with any dogs that are look like they can use a little 1/2/1 cuddle time.
All in all, this young kennels seem great! Looking forward to visiting in the future and seeing the expansion of both the kennels and the business as a whole. Good luck with this, not that it seems you need it More...

We were naturally very apprehensive about putting our 15month old lab into kennels for the first time. We asked around for recommendations and Lynwood came out on top so we decided to check it out. We arranged to take our boy up to see Nikki and Alex to have a look around. Our 4 year old insisted on being part of the vetting process as nothing but the best would do for her 4 legged friend. The kennels and the grounds are just amazing. Our boy was super relaxed being shown around and had lots of fun exploring the kennels and the outdoor paddock which had plenty to keep him occupied. The kennels are immaculate and spacious with access to an outdoor run through the day. Our lab thoroughly enjoyed his stay this weekend and it was lovely to be sent an email update of how he was settling in and the pictures were a lovely touch. We will definitely be looking to book him back in for another holiday. Thank you Nikki and Alex for treating our boy like your own and taking such great care of him. Benson our 2 1/2yr old Boxer had his first ever kennel stay with Nikki & Alex for a week in August 2017. I was very anxious & worried about him being separated from us for the first time in his life but he seemed to take it in his stride and got on just fine. Our Poppydog was with Nikki and Alex for a few days and she was so settled. Nikki was so welcoming and the facilities for Poppy were 2nd to none. Poppy can get quite excitable with people but Nikki understood her behaviour and looked after Poppy as if she was her own. Love this place and so does Poppy. The ladies of Lynwood are the mutts nuts! Our Golden Retriever had his first stay recently and it most definitely will not be his last! I can honestly say Oscar & I were both the least distressed we have EVER been when he’s been left at kennels, he walked (pulled �) away with Mandy quite the thing without barely a backwards glance when I left which was much easier than having to try & leave him on his own in a kennel straight away. I had my 2 Miniature Pinschers stay with Nikki and her family for just over 2 weeks, to say I was anxious was an understatement. It was their first time away from us (Ralph is 2 and Archie is 6 months) Nikki immediately put me at ease and kept us up to date with photos of them both and their welfare and this was very reassuring. I would highly recommend Lynwood Kennels to anyone and would certainly without a doubt use Nikki again, I would just like to thank you again Nikki for the professional service that you run and your continued success of your establishment

Our GPS Chief is just back from his first kennel stay. He stayed 2 weeks and I was very anxious about it. I must say that Lynwood Kennels is fantastic, professional and they have really done a lot of work to reduce kennel anxiety and owner anxiety ! Just picked up our 1 year old beagle Rory from a 3 night stay. It was our first time leaving him and we were a bit nervous but the team at Lynwood were great. They took the time to give us a tour of their excellent facilities on arrival and talk us through the dogs’ daily schedule. The little update and photos we received put our minds at ease, we knew that he was his usual happy, contented self and was being well looked after.
