I recently just completed the 2 week professional business of floristry course. I can not say enough great things about Judith's! As soon as you enter the building you are greeted with a smiling face and a cup of tea. All of the tutors were amazing to work with. So patient and kind. They all want the same goal for every one of their students which is to succeed in what ever direction you go and to have a great understanding of the tasks learned! I would definitely recommend this course. The staff was amazing and so helpful. I learned so much in just two weeks. Going in I had no knowledge of flowers except that I love them! By the end of the two weeks I learned more than I could have ever imagined! The people I met have changed my life. I attended Judith's intense 2-week 'Professional Business of Floristry' course last Autumn and it was a truly life-changing couple of weeks! I'd been trading as a Florist for just a couple of months prior to attending the school having had no formal training (only practical work experience) and I found my confidence had taken a complete nose-dive and I'd started to question the sanity of what I was doing! I sat down one Thursday afternoon and typed some generic key words into the search bar to see what courses it might throw up. As a resident of Northern Ireland, I'd (perhaps too optimistically) hoped there'd be a suitable fast-track course available nearby but alas, it was not to be! Judith's school was one of the first search results I clicked on and to be honest, within about a half an hour of reading the information on her website, I'd made up my mind that this was the school I wanted to train with. I called up the school and spoke to the kindest lady; her name was Julia, who informed me there were still places on the course starting the following Monday. I took it as a sign, fate if you like, and said 'I'll take it!'. I booked a flight and headed across the water, stayed with a friend and attended what was to be the most amazing 2 weeks ever. The teaching was world class. We had so many different tutors over the course of the 2 weeks, from the GM of Mark Jacobs' London store who taught a session on visual merchandising to one of the most renowned floristry business minds in the US, who Judith flew over especially. We got real variety - theory, group work, flower demonstrations and probably the most useful, the many practical sessions we had on learning the techniques necessary to be an exceptional florist. Each day, we received guidance from Judith and her team on photographing our works for our portfolio and we were given special bags to ensure the safe transportation of our arrangements home. The whole thing was sensational. I don't have the words to express just how beneficial the whole experience was. The best money I ever spent - hands down! And to top it off, the ladies I trained with created a Whatsapp group to keep in touch and we all have done - it's been a great support to us all as we each embark on our own journey of self-employment in the floristry industry. I completed the Business Course in September 2015 and I could not recommend it highly enough, in two weeks I learnt a HUGE amount and was placed with work experience at the end of it, where I now work 3 days a week and alongside I am slowly setting up my own business and starting out on my own.
Judith and the team are lovely, wish I could spend every week there... just great!

The lessons were packed with techniques and ideas from traditional handtie, corsages, round and linear table arrangements, hanging arrangements to simple contemporary styles...most of which were very much hands on and well guided. I have just completed the Floral Design Diploma online and cannot speak highly enough about the course. My tutor Liz Wyatt was so helpful and encouraging throughout the course and I shall miss waiting for my assignment marks and her helpful comments .
Judith's teaching, in her videos, is so so clear ,informative and uncomplicated and i was amazed that in a short time I was capable of creating wonderful arrangements
I look forward to doing many more courses in the School in London all in all a fantastic experience !

The attention to detail, and the open forum that the courses are run allows you to explore every aspect of setting up, and getting that real insight in how to do things right, how to do things well and how to make the very best for you as a new starter. Over the last couple of years I've taken some courses in my home town in floral design. It's something I do as a hobby.
I decided I wanted to explore design in flowers in more depth and as I have links in London and Manchester it made sense to look into courses in these areas. Spoilt for choice, the Judith Blacklock Flower School in Knightsbridge really took my eye. They offer various courses, I chose the 5 day Floral Design Diploma course and when I made contact with the school they couldn't be more accommodating and helpful.
The school is located in an inspiring environment which lends itself to creativity. All the teachers and especially Judith were so attentive and worked with us with such patience. We were provided with all materials including the most beautiful fresh flowers. I can't talk highly enough of the course. I highly recommend this school and hope to attend more courses in the future.

The day consisted of learning the latest techniques and current trends, using beautiful sundries that are "in vogue". At the end of the day we were able to take our four creations home. Today I had the most fantastic day doing the taster course. It's set in a beautiful location and was greeted with the warmest welcome! Being a complete novice I learnt so much in a matter of hours, and now have the confidence to continue to practice arranging for myself and friends - I never imagined I would come away with such a professional looking bouquet and centre piece, but I did! Judith is an excellent teacher with a wealth of experience, I've learnt so much from her today. Best course I have ever done! I attended Judith Blacklock's Flowerschool for the 'Professional Business of Floristry' Course end of September 2017. I simply loved every minute about this course, every lesson we had, the huge flower variety, the precious insight knowledge we got from Judith and the different teachers and the lovely people I have met from all over the world. We are all still in contact now and exchange our learnings and process which is amazing. I selected this course with the one goal in mind: to learn in the shortest period of time as much as possible about floristry. My expectations were exceeded by far. Hidden in a small beautiful backyard in Knightsbridge, the environment alone makes you come to school every day. Judith had created the course with so much love and packed with precious content. Every day we had different tutors, who are all experts in their field in the flower industry. We learned loads of different techniques and covered everything from a handtied bouquet to centre piece to how to dress your shop window just to Name a few.... Having all this variety made every day super interesting. Basically you learn all the techniques you need to know plus precous inside tips if you want to start yor own business or a simply madly in love with flowers. For me personally I'm so happy and grateful to Judith for these amazing two very intense weeks. I took the three-day course at Judith’s flower school early this month and it was great fun! I was so surprised that the course was so well-organised and professional though it was only for three days!
All the materials were so well-prepared and surprisingly great especially those gorgeous fresh flowers!! Judith and her teaching team, Tom and Pip always ensured that we understood their instructions and answered our questions in great detail. And Julia was also very kind and helpful in explaining the differences among the Judith’s books. This helped me choose the right books for my future self-leaning!
Beyond enjoying my time at this lovely place in South Kensington, I learned practical skills that made me confident in arranging flowers and creating my own floral design. And also, during the three days, I made a few floral works such as the handtied bouquet and the table designs. I gave them to my roomie, my teacher in uni for farewell, and the church. People who received them were all very happy and surprised! I did gain the joy of sharing flowers!!!!
The Chinese saying goes ‘no comparison, no harm’. Judith’s course was the best comparing among other courses that I took in both England and China. Can’t recommend more!！

I have just completed the Three Days of Flowers course with Judith and her team and I cannot recommend it enough. This course is perfect for those who want to learn about the main aspects floral design, but in a shorter space of time. The level of care in ensuring the class were understanding the steps of each floral design was extremely high. Judith and her team always ensured that we felt comfortable to ask questions and that we worked at our own pace.
