We design, manage and build a wide variety of bespoke extensions, we offer services to extend your living space, maybe a larger kitchen, extra bedroom and bathroom or simply a renovation or refurbishment to create more living space for your family. We will always try to maximise the space in your home you might be thinking of a rear home or a wrap-around extension.

We can guide you through the whole process from start to finish, to start the process we would need to understand the constraints of your existing plumbing and electrical work. With any loft conversion the first thing we need to establish is your property suitable for a loft conversion, not all properties are suitable for conversion. Before going too far into the planning stages of a loft conversion, we would always carry out a brief survey that checks the suitability.

Roof structure, is it a Purlin roof or trussed roof?
Height, is there enough height within your loft, a traditional roof height is 2.2 to 2.4 m
Space, is the loft large enough to provide a usable room/s
Chimney/s, does that Chimney/s pass through the loft space? Will it need moving?
Felt, is the roof fully weathertight?
There are three types of loft conversions, you can consider internal loft conversions, dormer loft conversions,(dormers can come in many different shapes and sizes) and finally roof off conversions usually requiring removal and rebuilding off the roof. What type of loft conversion your property might be suitable for will be influenced by three main factors what type of roof you have, what you really want from your loft room/s and of course your budget.

The most economic conversion would be an internal loft conversion, however dormer conversions are the most common type because they add additional space, a full roof removal conversion will give you a lot more space and flexibility but they will be the most expensive.

Do you require planning permission for a loft conversion? You can extend your roof space by up to 50 m³ or on a terraced property 40 m³ under permitted development rights of course working with in permitted development rights there will also be some limitations and restrictions, of course we are always happy to guide you through permitted development rights.
