We have recently had our loft converted with an en-suite and part of our garage made into a toilet/ utility with JPC and couldn’t be happier. The work has been completed to a very high standard throughout. The team including Joe, Jack and Jill worked tirelessly to get the work done and worked long hours and weekends to ensure it was completed. Although it was a big project, they ensured there was minimal mess and disruption and were always polite and courteous which made our lives a lot easier when balancing a big house project with a newborn baby. They were happy to listen to what we wanted and made every effort to accommodate our design and ideas. I had JPC convert my loft into a master bedoom. They were very knowledgeable and I felt like I was in safe hands. Very conscientious and kept me informed throughout. Would definitely use them again 😊
How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
The Garage ideally needs to be within a 10m distance from the main dwelling, however there is exceptions, the reason being is for power source etc.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Strip out any internal existing amenities that are not need for new conversion.
Install any services ie Electrical and water if having toilet or utility.
Damp protect floor and walls.
Insulation to be added to new floor and walls and ceiling if above garage roof is exposed to the elements.
2nd fix installation doors windows etc.
Plasterboard and skim finishes.
Sockets and light switches second fix.
Finishes ie services and decor.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Heights from original ceiling joist of rafter cord to the underside of the peak of roof (ridge board) ideally no less that 2.5m as the chances are there will be a need for steel and new Floor Joist and the build up of this will impede heights on finish conversion also make sure there is suitable room for a bedroom etc

Steel (most of the time)
New Floor Joist and rock wool insulation, maybe a need for chicken wire for fire regs
Framing of ashlar walls and first fix electrical and plumbing
Plasterboard and Skim finishes,

Everyone at Ivory Tower Construction Ltd loves meeting new clients and learning about there different quirky ideas, we love to bring bespoke ideas to life and into there homes to achieve there dream ideas, thats what we love and the peoples reactions when they see the finished project, it gives us a warm feeling and a sense of achievment.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Wanting to help people achieve there aim with there desired projects, as im an ex military guy, I like challenging project and want the best outcome for our clients, we like to be diligent and enthusiastic on what we can provide and to make sure our clients are pleased and happy with the delivery and outcome on what projects they may have for us.

We take care of the project from start to finish from plans to Structual calculations, dealing with building control and the running of the project so the client has a seamless experience, taking away the stress of dealing with outside agencies, we also pride ourselves on workmanship, we work closely with LABC and our standard of work is excellent noted by building control.

For the administrative side yes but practical no, unfortunately we are a construction company and need hands on.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We make sure the staff are fully up to speed with the current ongoing situation of COVID 19 and measure are in place to assist in achieving this aim
