Moving into a rather decrepit thatched cottage in Sussex, I needed an architect who was prepared to work with the technical issues that occur in such properties. An online search and I found Joy Architects where Julian expressed much interest in my project. Whilst working on drawings he was happy to deal with my questions and ideas and was good at explaining problems that might (and often, did occur). He could understand and interpret my ‘dream’! He was generally punctual with producing the technical drawings and often visited the site, especially at times of interest, such as trying to find the best way of linking the original upstairs route through to the new building at the back whilst having to negotiate the large chimney in the centre of the property. Not only this, but Julian came in under budget. I would thoroughly recommend Joy Architects to those looking for an unusual project. More...
