We would one million percent recommend Jon for capturing your special day with the most beautiful photos and Sandra if you are looking for a film too (which you seriously should consider! ). Not only were we completely blown away by the finished photos but you couldn't ask for nicer people, Jon put us right at ease in front of the camera from day one at the engagement shoot and right through the day itself - we also had so many guests say how impressed they were! His documentary style was very natural and depicted the feelings of the event really well, which we very much preferred to staged photos. From day one Jon was a pleasure to work with. We had an engagement photo shoot prior to our wedding so we could get to know each other and chat about what we wanted etc, this confirmed Jonny was exactly who we wanted to photograph our special day. Extremely friendly and easy to chat with, it felt like we had a friend photographing our wedding rather than a photographer we had only met once before :-) 12 weeks later and we have the most beautiful collection of wedding photographs we can look back on for the rest of our lives and show off to our family and friends, 1000% worth the wait! He got the posed photos of us with our family and friends as well as a lot of candid photos of us with our wedding guests, including a lot of funny ones that really captured the day. Definitely recommend Jonny’s work, it’s not your standard wedding photography that everyone has, he has a very artistic eye. Jon was an absolute joy to work with throughout the wedding planning process and on the day itself! We opted for an engagement shoot before the big day to get warmed up and a bit more used to being in front of the camera, and when we got the pictures back we were only more excited about the big day. Jon was like a ninja on the day, some of the pictures we've seen I wasn't even aware he was there. We had the perfect mix of shots from the crowd, some obligatory family shots and being stolen away for some shots just us two without missing out on the party! We wanted to say that Jon has been amazing the whole way through our wedding process, from the pre wedding shoot, right the way until post wedding. He got the engagement shoot photos back to us really promptly which were amazing, and set the tone for the style for the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Jon arrived in plenty of time to shoot a 'first look' with both of us which put us at ease for the rest of the day.Jon blended into the background and made everyone feel so at ease, with many of our guests singing his praises throughout the day. He was also kind enough to take a number of group shots as these were important to us. Jon couldn't have done anything better on the day and certainly stayed much later than he was meant to to ensure he got all the important moments. We have already received a sneaky peek from the day, which look incredible and cannot wait to see the rest.We couldn't recommend Jon more and hope that he will shoot friends future weddings so we can see him again. Jon was the perfect choice for our wedding photographer, really relaxed and easy to chat to (and be photographed by). He was brilliant on the day, blending in well with all of our guests, lots of them commenting on how great Jon was! Most of the time you weren't even aware of being photographed. When looking for someone to shoot our wedding we interviewed 5 photographers, and as soon as we met Jon we knew we had our guy. He’s a very likeable character, clearly very enthusiastic and confident in his ability, and the quality of his work speaks for itself. His artistic style fitted perfectly with the intimate, relaxed mood that we wanted at our wedding.In action Jon commands his subjects with ease and good humour. He really knows his craft and is always looking for interesting shot compositions. He uses the time effectively and sets up the shot before the subjects are required. He gets what he needs quickly, usually in one or two shuttter clicks, and moves onto the next shot. No one is kept waiting and he doesn’t impose at all. Jon stayed for the duration of the wedding, shooting into the early hours.The completed photos were available soon after the wedding day and we were blown away by the quality of the finished product. Jon Harper is the all seeing eye with the all seeing lens capturing unique moments for you to cherish of your big day. For us it was a case that we wanted to be sure that the person we selected to photograph our big day would be creative, professional and personable - all of which Jon was wholeheartedly full of this with abundance and then some. We couldn't have wished for such beautiful and intimate moments than the stunning images that we were presented with a few weeks after the best day of our lives. We viewed them from the perspective of those that had attended our wedding as Jon has a wonderful and natural skill of mingling without individuals being aware that the moment has just been captured for everyone to look back with fondness.The relaxed nature of the photos could not have been made possible without the relaxed nature of a photographer who is passionate about each and every perfectly timed photo that he takes. James and I fell in love with Jon's work after we saw it in Cotswold Bride. After meeting up with him we both knew that he was definitely the guy for us. Not only was his photography imaginative but he was able to answer our questions and totally put us at ease (both of us are camera shy). On the day, Jon was very professional and we hardly noticed him at all. Our guests commented on what a lovely chap he was and on how hard he seemed to be working, which was nice.Our photographs blew us away!!! He captured the most amazing moments without us even noticing and we can't stop showing them off and looking at them.I would have no problem in recommending Jon whatsoever.
