What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Having a great subject to work with. Obviously also having the equipment helps but being able to envisage and ‘see’ a shot. You absolutely know when it’s in the bag.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I would ask questions like
How long would you need me on site for?
Are you happy to be photographed or do you not like being in front of the camera?
What style are you looking for?
Etc..
What do you love most about your job?
I love the fact that you can be creative. What you think isn’t a great shot to someone else may look amazing, everyone looks at images in different ways. It’s extremely rewarding when you send off your final edited images to your client and they “love them”
What inspired you to start your own business?
I just love photography, I’ve always found it fascinating from a very early age. When I started it was all film and we had to print our own photos in a tray of developer, stop and then fix.
I also love the freedom of working for yourself a d keeping your own times, it can be far less stressful
Why should our clients choose you?
I am fun and cheeky, which hopefully will help you relax. However I am professional and am also my own worst critic, I don’t like failure.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I can only offer my services on line after a shoot has taken place as I will send the images to you remotely. Obviously I have to be there to shoot the subject. ?
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
At the moment I can’t invite anyone to my studio under Covid rules and regulations. I carry sanitiser and masks everywhere I go and wash my hands regularly. If I am shooting a commercial product in the studio then there is less need for social distancing etc.
