I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone. A great bunch of hard working and polite lads, co-ordinated by Louise and James who are lovely. We've just used them to move us for the 3rd time and previously recommended them to my mother. Am now recommending to a friend who is about to move. Used J&M removals for a full house move - James and Louise were spot on. They turned up with a team of lads who grafted hard, they were respectful to the houses and items being moved and had all the right kit to ensure sofas and TVs were moved properly without being damaged. They turned up on time, took apart and reassembled items and ensured were placed just where we wanted them. They connected the washing machine which was a difficult task and ensured the whole moving task was as unstressful as possible. James, Louise and their team were really excellent. They helped us move from a 3 bed house to a 4 bed townhouse. They very respectful and polite in their mannerisms, and very considerate and careful when moving and assembling furniture in our new home. They were so considerate to even take their shoes off in my new home, which was highly appreciated. Moving our piano wasn't easy at all, yet with patience and calm, they succeeded by working as a team and cheering each other on. They also made the experience very personal, by handing me a card wishing me and my family well in our new home, and by making sure that I was happy with how the furniture was arranged. J&M were excellent. Really friendly when they came to do the quote which was very competitive, and also very flexible when the moving date kept changing. On the day they turned up early with a big team and had emptied the house within 2 hrs, and then filled the new house in 1 hr. They took all the stress out of our move. Can't fault J&M Removals at all they came out to view what I had to move to give me an accurate price, very professional, reasonable price and said I'd me moved in 3 hours which I did not believe was possible, but I was wrong they turned up on time, very organised and sure enough 3 hours time it was all done. .. best money I've ever spent, I would never attempt to try and move myself again I'll call J&M would highly recommend. The J&M Removals team did a first class job for my recent house move. Initially they came and surveyed my property and took an inventory of items to include in the move (this is so important, don't go with a quote over the phone, you'll risk getting a removal van that will be to too small to fit your belongings into).
They dismantled and rebuilt furniture for us and my belongings were handled with care. Boxes and furniture were placed exactly where we need them in the new house. Nothing was too much trouble. They are a friendly team and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Not planning to move house anytime soon, but if I did I'd go to them again. More...

We used J&M Removals mid June 2018 when we moved from Gateshead to Newcastle. From early morning when they arrived to empty our old house to evening when they finished in our new house they did not stop. Although they worked quickly, they were careful not to damage any items and they used covers/protection for expensive items (TVs, mattresses etc.). They dismantled large items of furniture (beds, wardrobes etc.) and rebuilt them in the new property.The lads were courteous and made sure everything was tidy when they had finished.They were also very competitive on cost.Would definitely recommend J&M Removals. We were recommended J&M by friends and they didn't disappoint. They moved us about a mile along Low Fell. Dealt with Matt pre-dominantly who was very friendly but he brought about 5 or 6 lads and they were all top class. Dismantled and re-assembled everything including some big items like an American style refrigerator which didn't look like much fun at all. It took all of the stress out of moving, very professional, very punctual, very fast and all items safely transported. We moved home at quite possible the worst time of year, in between Christmas and New Year and also in to a new build which we weren't sure when it would be complete. Matty came and gave a quote which was very competitive and was also able to arrange for someone to come and remove living room window to accommodate the removal of our sofas. They arrived early but as we weren't ready, they were happy to wait. They helped with dismantling a bed which we forgot to do, without complaining. Fantastic bunch of lads. Great price, great service. Thorough estimate given initially. The house was packed up including dismantling 3 wardrobes and beds within 1. 45 hours. We got our keys at 4pm. We left it late to arrange our removals - and contacted 3 local firms. One estimated a cost via email, another wouldn't give a figure despite coming out to the property - saying they'd phone back - and never did, but Matt from J&M came out and gave an excellent price, despite the late notice. Turned up on time and everything was organised superbly, including the dismantling and rebuilding of 1 piece of furniture. A team of 6 turned up who were all polite, respectful and good humoured. They respected each and every item and never forced anything into the vans. They had the house cleared in no time, giving time to perform the final clean.
