What kind of accounting services do you provide?
Qualified Chartered Accountant with a broad range of experience ranging from preparation of management accounts and statutory year end reporting to development of suites of management reporting and KPI development and dealing with bankers to arrange and renegotiate financing.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
A great accountant can provide valuable insight into your company's activities and also will be able to help predict the likely outcome of a particular chosen course of action based on what the numbers are saying - after all, everything that your business does leads to either a profit or a loss.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the interaction with a wide cross-section of society and the fact that it's always fresh give the short nature of the assignments.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Operating in corporate environments for close on20 years has some advantages (steady pay, regular hours etc etc) but it lacks diversification outside of the office environment. In my career, I have worked across a number of areas and have gained a tremendous amount of experience from re-structuring departments and businesses to selling businesses and acquiring private equity investment - I'd love to share that experience and knowledge now with other businesses that are motivated to grow and improve and are as passionate about their jobs as I am about mine.
