They poorly installed a conservatory Roof which leakes when it rains. I have to now get a roof replacement with what these Gypsy's did. James and Tony are the culprits. They stole items from my garage and left the roof incomplete. And took a total of £6000. Can not get hold of them despite numerous calls. They are Rogue Builders and have also been reported to the Authorities. Someone else I know used them and they have the same issue.

James came to quote my porch job and did the first two days job quite well. After James took the money £2500 out of £4000 on 2nd July, he has been completed changed to another person, always delayed and many times just disappear, not answer phone and text message, many times not come as promised. James and Tony did some repointing to the rear of our property, cleaned the gutters and fitted a new piece of guttering. The work won’t be winning any awards soon, but it was fine (if expensive). In the process they broke a number of roof tiles, around 6 in total. The next day they came back to repair the roof tiles, didn’t bring enough replacement tiles and promptly left two of the tiles broken (including a substantial hairline crack along one of them) along with a few other chipped tiles. I made the mistake of paying them without realising they had left damaged tiles. As a result of the damaged tiles, we developed a leak in 2 separate parts of the rear of the property. James and Tony then failed to show on 5 separate occasions over a 2 week period after promising to repair the damage, with an ever expanding list of excuses for why they wouldn’t arrive that day. I then had to arrange for another builder to fix the repairs at a cost of hundreds of pounds due to the damage getting worse with the rain we’ve had over the past few weeks. So, in summary, do yourself a favour and give James and Tony a miss. It’s not worth the hassle and additional cost of dealing with their incompetence. More...

James and Tony were the ones who contacted me initially and later visited to see the job what needed to be done and agreed for £1250. 00
On the 1st day Tony came with couple of his assistants and after getting on to the roof, said that the roof is unsteady and needs a new flat roof . His quote was £5000.00 for the entire work and wanted an advance £ 2000.00 and agreed £3000.00 paid after 4 weeks.
The rafters were in good condition and only needed to replace the the wooden sheets and the flat roof sheets. The bricks which were loose were repointed using the old bricks and few new bricks were used. He wanted the money at the end of the job and agreed to reduce the total amount to £4500.00 which I paid and settled.
Overall the job was not upto my expectations.
They used many of my things which were kept in the garage ie
a) The hose pipe and sprinkler - the sprinkler is now damaged due to cement blocking the the sprinkler
b) A 12'' long screw driver was used by them and this is missing
c) A large hammer is missing and I saw them using a similar one and when I asked whether they are using mine, the answer was no.
d) When they removed the sensor lamp from the outer wall of the garage, they have broken the bracket and made one from a sheet of iron and fitted the lamp.
There might be more things missing from the garage and I will only the the extent of loss when I have cleaned the entire garage.

The overall work was only satisfactory
