We arranged to meet Anja and James and from the outset we were very impressed with the range and depth of accreditation that they provided along with them ensuring that our 9 month old puppy had all the necessary vaccinations etc that would ensure that any other dogs on the walks would be fully protected from kennel cough etc.
We hadn’t used a dog walking service before, so were understandably slightly apprehensive. However, we were very quickly reassured and increasingly confident and pleased with the excellent support that James and Anya gave us from the very first walk. They each walk small groups of dogs up to twice a day, that are carefully put together on walks based upon breeds and temperaments and ages that is aimed to provide the optimum enjoyment for the dogs collectively and individually.
They also take numerous photos on the walks and post these on their WhatsApp page before they return your dog. We hadn’t expected this but it is very good, because it clearly shows what fun the dogs are having together.
On a personal level James and Anya are always very professional, clearly love dogs and know how to calm and control them if excited etc. This especially reassured us because our puppy, who is hugely energetic and enthusiastic, is quickly calmed before being taken to join the other dogs, for example. They are also very flexible including coming into the house if we are out, to feed a dog, if asked.
They have been utterly reliable and always bright and cheerful every time they have helped us during the last six weeks since our need for help with walks for our puppy. In summary, we have only praise for the sheer quality, reliability and genuine care that they have given our pet and their friendship and support that they have given us.

What do you love most about your job?
At ‘It's DOG TIME’ we are passionate about what we do, being out in the nature with animals we love. To see the dogs having a great time and enjoy their walks, gives us a wonderful feeling.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I grew up in the countryside of North Germany. As a family we owned many pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, horses and our family dogs. During this time I gained valuable knowledge by taking our dogs to puppy classes and advanced dog training. This gave me the inspiration to one day work with animals.
After further education I owned a boutique and this provided me with the experience of running my own business.
It has long been my desire to run my own dog walking company. We live with our Cairn Terrier Cross in Eastbourne for over a year now. I love what I do, am passionate about all kinds of dogs and with running It’s DOG TIME it is my dream come true.

Group walks
60 min & 120 min Walks to different routes in the countryside, woods or beach which is ideal to give your dog good exercise & the time it needs, with lots of fun.
The normal price is £10 per dog per walk and each walk lasts one hour.
If you require a walk 3 times a week or more the price is £9 per dog per walk.
Our group walks take place 3 times a day and we operate from Monday to Saturday. We endeavour to change the location daily and we visit the following places - Friston Forest, Butchers Hole, Warren Hill, Butts Brow and other areas in the South Downs. We like to keep the groups small so we can give your dogs the time they need.
Our dog friendly car is fully equipped and safe. Fresh water, treats & poo bags provided.
Let outs
For very young or older dogs that do not require a long walk. We will collect your dog for a walk to a nearby location.
We would come for 30 minutes and do a short walk locally with plenty of time for fun and cuddles.
30 min/ 8£ per dog and £4 for an extra dog from the same household
Puppy Play Time
This would last 30 minutes and costs £8 per session for the first puppy and £4 for an extra puppy from the same household. We would make sure your dogs are fed and watered, has a toilet break and has lots of fun, love and cuddles. We find this is essential in a puppy's formative weeks whilst the owners are absent.
A helping hand for you and your puppy
Is it your first puppy and you struggle with basic training and communication? Do you need assistance with the first walk in the countryside on or off lead? We would work together with you the owner in creating the bond and relationship so you can raise a well balanced puppy.
1 home session (approx. 30min) £8 per puppy
1 outdoor session (approx. 30min) £10 per puppy
Private walks
Some dogs may be nervous around others or need special care, younger dogs may need individual attention to cater for their energy needs and elderly dogs may struggle to keep up with the group. A private walk is the perfect way for them to gain trust, confidence and have a relaxing time.
1 walk (60min) £15 per dog and £8 per extra dog from the same household
Adventure trails & waggy tails
Twice a month we offer adventure walks on special trails off the beaten track. These walks are a little further away from Eastbourne and last between 2 to 3 hours. With plenty of breaks and snacks on the way, your dog will have a wonderful excursion.
1 walk £24
Meet & Greet Package
We offer a Meet & Greet package which consists of the first three group walks for £24. Prior to this we will meet you and your dog to go over any questions you may have, fill in the necessary paperwork. This is valid for 1 month after the first booking.
