ISE Brighton

I did an internship at ISE as an assistant for 4 weeks: the things that I absolutely have to say are that the enviroment is fantastic, the staff is really helpful and nice and the experience that I had is very significant for my future. Working here was a pleasure!

Never been to a better summer school to learn english before! It’s the second time that i’m coming and i can surely tell there will be a third one. (even more, i hope) It doesn’t matter where you come from, you can meet every person all over the world and never feel homesick, i kept in touch with the people i met last year in 2018 and i met them also this summer and it seemed like nothing had changed! The staff was completely available also in the afternoon after the activities of you needed help, always polite and very nice. I have been in this school for 2 years and I would come another year, the teachers are really professional and friendly. All the staff are really nice and helpful. There is a place outside the school where you can take a break and have lunch with some tables provided by the school. There are a great variety of activities during the afternoon and evening for the students You can meet people from all over the world, I strongly recommend this company if you want to have fun and learn more English. Se volete imparare a parlare il buon Inglese, la ISE di Hove è il posto giusto, professori preparati e molto simpatici. Posto distribuito su tre piani, al piano terra lo spazio condiviso con Cafe Nero, al primo piano la reception con 2 classi, al secondo piano si trovano tre classi con la caffetteria e al terzo la sala computer.

Studying at ISE has been a great experience for my students. I came to ISE Hove with 19 of my YL students and they attended lessons with different teachers from different levels and all of them were really professional, nice and funny. I passed the part time CELTA course in Feb 17. I've learnt a lot, through self study, many input sessions and the handouts supplied, recommended books, and the superb support received from the teacher trainers at ISE Hove. There were a few organisational set backs, some shoddy photocopies provided as handouts, and conflicting feedback from the trainers. But overall, the course was, although challenging, achievable, and I'm not an academic, or particularly bright !! I thank Chris Edge, Elena, Simon, and the fantastic secretary, Tiziana for their warm welcome, tireless efforts to help us, encouragement, and suggestions. Their observations and comments, following my lessons, were accurate and appreciated, and their words of wisdom, through their own experiences, have made a significant contribution. I made friends, had a laugh, and met many cheerful, hard working students, from all over the world. Its been a pleasure, although nerve-wracking, to teach them. This Hove branch of the ISE language school provides a cafe, computer room and classrooms. The classrooms have that back to school feel, not being too up to date or tidily furnished, but with posters, board pens, white boards, OHPs and tables and chairs aplenty! The bonus factor is the building, with the high ceilings and big bay windows you'll find in many old Brighton sea-front buildings.In terms of courses, you'll find English classes (and examinations) for all levels from beginner to advanced (and including business English) held either here or in the neighbouring central Brighton branch. There are also often free classes, run by the teacher trainees on the CELTA courses. I'm doing CELTA (English as a foreign lanugage) here at the moment and finding it very well taught and well organised - going here is great to benefit from some many of the senior teachers' expertise in language and teacher training - well reccomended! This is the Brighton branch of ISE - the other is at the bottom of The Drive in Hove. They offer various English language classes from beginner to advanced, as well as business english. They also run full and part time CELTA courses (cambridge certificate of english language teaching to adults). The staff are great, ranging from young newly qualified teachers, to more experienced english language professionals, from the UK and elsewhere. I'm completing the part-time CELA course there at the moment and would definitely reccomend it for the support given by the really experienced trainers. More...
