About

Inner Voice was inspired and created by the little voice we all have inside our head that urges us to create and be something beyond ourselves. Whether it’s using your singing voice, composing music for voice, instrumental, and/or visual media.

Singing Lessons

We had an initial meeting with Emily today, and she immediately made Erin feel comfortable. Erin is really looking forward to working with Emily. She has already played a couple of songs that she likes which she might ask to be added to her lessons. We are looking forward to starting lessons! More...

I've had singing lessons with Emily for about 3 years now and the service she provides is excellent - she's friendly, really easy to talk to and good at explaining things!

My daughter, Debbie, has been doing lessons with Emily for the past few months now and what a massive improvement she’s made in such a short space of time. Emily is so lovely and they get along fantastically, her lessons are the highlight of Debbie’s week, would highly recommend 😍 More...

Q&As

I love to help people achieve what they either didn't think they could, or to help them to have more confidence to continue trying to reach their goals! I love to see/hear the improvements my students make every time I see them, it is wonderful to see them blossom!

I already had been teaching through a music school as self employed. I figured it would benefit me and the students to start it on my own. It allows you to get the same lesson, the same expertise, for a cheaper price than at an institution.

I'm patient and kind and never take myself too seriously. I believe my students can vouch for me when I say there is a lot of laughing involved. I hope to put students at ease so that they can try their best. I know what it is like to struggle and have a teacher that doesn't understand. I do not want any my lessons to ever be negative and want to help the student grow through a supportive and positive atmosphere.

Yes, that is the only option I currently have. I can teach through Zoom. I will send you a link that is easily used all the time. In addition, you will have a google document that will be shared with you where I put all our lesson notes, links for vocal warmups and songs. I typically ask you to use two devices when possible. That way I can easily share links on your lesson notes that you can open on a phone or computer and then the device you use zoom on does not interfere with the sound quality. This allows you to do vocal warmups in real time without delay due to it being online. It really is quite simple once you get used to it and is just how I would do a lesson if it was in person.

I teach solely online now and will continue to do so indefinitely.

Services

Hello, I can teach you via Zoom. I can use a different platform if needed, such as Skype, but do feel that Zoom functions the best. Half of you lesson will be going over vocal technique/warmups and the other half will be singing a song or songs of your choosing. Typically singing songs that challenge you will help you to improve your voice best. It can be any style (Classical, Pop, R&B, Jazz, etc). It is £30 for the hour. You can schedule weekly, biweekly, monthly, or every now then. It really is whatever suits you, your schedule, and your goals.

I can teach you with a half hour lesson. It will be £15 for a half hour lesson but includes everything an hour lesson would have, but just less time to do it. This is ideal for children. I do occasionally have adults do a half hour but it is a bit rushed (but doable!). This will be taught via Zoom or another platform if necessary. It will include vocal technique, vocal warmup, and a song of your choosing.

In the hour or half hour lesson, I will work with you either on something you have already composed, or help you flush out an idea that you have. Composition is unique to each individual. So if you compose on staff paper, music notation software, or play it by ear, I can work with you on what you create! An hour lesson is £30 and a half hour lesson is £15.
