Maciej designed extensive alterations to our Victorian terraced house, including a new loft conversion. He had some excellent, innovative solutions to layout challenges and was painstaking in his attention to detail. He was always happy to talk at length about our plans and he liaised successfully with the local authority to secure planning approval. Very satisfied with his output, which included 3D design images and would definitely use him again. More...

Q&As

First of all one need to check the layout of the house and the proximity of the garage to the building. It all depends if the property is listed or not, as that's where the hurdle starts. Additionally if it is in conservation area and seeing how the this information merges together with a history of planning of this type in the area.

Survey, client brief what's to be achieved in the space, possibility of gaining access and how to achieve planning permissions/ Certificate of Lawful Development.

its a very tricky/grey area as the circumstances where loft can be done or not depends on various factors.
Few of which define the possibility is conservation area, for instance in Hampstead suburb trust there is not only a conservation area to deal with but also trust regulations and one needs to be very specifying in terms of confines of the restrictions and policies by which one need define the project. By general rule 50CM for semi or detached house, and 40CM allowance for terraced. But that can be subject o local planning policies and guidance.

Client brief and requirements, comprehensive on site survey, design/deamination of what's possible and applying planning policies for the area and type of property, Planning or C.O.L.D. application, if successful, Building regulation drawings and structural design, party wall agreements.
After that serving notice and mobilisation on site. (in a nut shell)

presentation of portfolio, studying clients brief, survey of the site, based on existing information design process for a draft designs to present to client with mood boards, and drawings, later after meeting acceptance of design and to a detail design stage, allowing for pricing of the job. Mobilisation on site if client wishes.

Very modern, contemporary, classical with a modern twist, luxury, very imaginative spaces for exhibitions, use of unique materials and finishes, complex solutions for small spaces.

over 15 years in high end residential sector and also many years in commercial sector dealing with many aspects of design and construction process.

Depends on the job I guess P.I.I. but more over with years of experience client satisfaction comes with advising and designing for client accordingly with hitherto experience which I can guarantee.

Interaction with client, as we all have different ideas about our project, thus allowing me to develop further and further.

After few successful projects more wwas coming in I was more then motivated to start my own practice.

I strive to make the best to achieve the best result expected and beyond as I treat every project as a challenge, development and accomplishment.

Yes it's possible to do both. Remote designs packages are preferred by most.

Remote communication as much as possible. on line zoom meetings with shared screens and other forms of communication on the project. most of work is done remotely in my profession any how, presence on site is minimal.

Services

I have extensive experience with planning departments in UK, especially in London.
In the initial phases of the project I can design and advise what's achievable through planning and push the project through.

Further to post planning stage I can do all required Design implementation in a form of building Regulations and construction drawings.
When the projects required also Detail design as well.

1. Building regulation drawings allowing construction of the project
2. Structural drawings and calculations
3. Detail design (joinery and construction)

Structural Engineering Package for Lofts/Extensions and New Built Projects.

No space is the same and there for no space design should be the same, I strive to achieve unique results to clients satisfaction.

For the construction process Contract management might be required and we do have this service as well.
