Working with Ian couldn't have been a more rewarding experience overall. Ian has perfected the balance of making you feel comfortable in his company and at the same time challenge you and put you out of your comfort zone where you are most vulnerable but at the same time, most open to change and personal growth. Ian is great at his job and very, very knowledgeable in his field hence why he helped me so much. I gave Ian this rating because he truly was outstanding and helped me personally an extreme amount and I cannot recommend his services more. He is a lovely guy and months after I stopped seeing Ian (due to not needing his services anymore) I still implement his techniques and teachings in my daily life with most social situations and my confidence. Thanks, Ian and all the best for the future! More...

Thank you. It brings me a lot of satisfaction and pleasure to work with a client over a long period of time and see them develop.

Ian is a very practical and helpful coach. I have a quiet speaking voice, and projection has always been a problem. His approach has given me more confidence to engage with my audience, without having to worry about whether they can hear me when the mike packs up - as they so often do!

Ian was an expert in this field. He had such a vast knowledge regarding different things that could relate my experiences to them. He was also a good listener and led me well in the right path of talking effectively with different kind of people in different context. He helped me to develop a higher way of thinking and reflect on my behavior and thoughts. More...

Q&As

I love helping others. As well as coaching individuals, I am also a partner of a behavioural training company that uses practical methods to give people in the corporate sector greater insight to their own style of communication and the impact it has on others. I have seen many 'lightbulb moments' during my coaching and training sessions over the years and that inspires me to continue helping others.

Offering coaching to individuals in the local area came about because it sits well alongside my other work as most sessions are a maximum of two hours and it provided me with another opportunity to help other people who may not have the luxury of a company paying for them. I wanted to offer what I do to a wider audience at a more reasonable and affordable price. Over the past year I have also started to offer coaching sessions by Skype and this has proved very successful as I am able to offer more availability to clients and there are less challenges around travelling or finding suitable venues. The maximum length of these sessions tends to be one hour and gives many more people the opportunity to benefit from coaching services.

I have helped many people over the years to overcome hurdles, to breakdown personal barriers and to move ahead in life and in business with greater confidence and self awareness. The way I work is not for everyone, but most of my clients have come away feeling that it has been worthwhile and their view of some of their problems has shifted to a more positive place. I will never force anyone to move outside their comfort zone but will challenge clients to think about parts of their life and reflect on their attitudes and behaviours in ways that will enlighten them.

Services

I have worked globally with a large number of people in the business world improving their communication, sales and productivity using a PRACTICAL approach that allows individuals to experience a different approach in a safe learning environment. I COACH people in how to present, presence and personal impact, management skills, negotiating, being more assertive, building stronger professional relationships and influencing others.

As a COACH in East Anglia, my clients have been varied and amongst others I have helped a graduate lawyer to seek employment, a 17-year-old college student to build greater confidence and social skills, I have had regular sessions to help a lecturer from Persia gain greater awareness of her impact on colleagues, helped an IT professional to overcome his fear of having conversations, an engineer to assert himself better at work and developed social skills for a stay-at-home mum who felt isolated when trying to integrate with the school community.

I am different from other coaches because I can help you to explore the reality of your current situation or past examples and seek some possible solutions using a mixture of questions and practical exercises intended to open your mind up and examine what is getting in the way of progression. I believe that by understanding some of our biases and attitudes, we can look at a variety of real situations with more clarity and therefore see a way forward that is right for the individual.
