Welcome to Hurst Impressions Photography. We are Lee and Jane, a married couple of sixteen years and full time professional photographers specialising in wedding, portrait and event photography. It is a real privilege to be in the position of making people happy through our passion of photography.

We can’t imagine having a better experience with any photographers than we had with Lee and Jane. From our first meeting they were very friendly and welcoming, we knew that they were the photographers we wanted for our day. We got married during the summer of 2020, which meant that all plans were up in the air until the last minute due to the pandemic and associated national restrictions. Lee and Jane were flexible and reassuring during this time, and were able to accommodate our changing circumstances. As expected, on the day they were amazing. They had researched the local area and found the perfect spot for taking the photos, and produced wonderful images that we will always treasure. They took the effort to make all the guests in the photographs comfortable, all the while ensuring a light and natural atmosphere. Lee and Jane photographed our wedding for us. We are thrilled we chose them for our day, they helped make everything run smoothly, added significantly to the experience and created a beautiful album for us. Both are lovely people and so easy to get on with so we didn't feel at all uncomfortable. They met us beforehand to talk through everything (driving a long way to meet us!), kept in strong communication through the COVID uncertainty, helped us brilliantly with any questions we had, offered us a fantastic package for a very reasonable price and took fantastic photos! We booked Hurst Impressions for our wedding in May and have nothing but amazing things to say about them. Lee and Jane are two of the nicest people you could hope to meet. We knew from our very first meeting that we’d love them to capture our special day. They’re warm, friendly and it felt like we’d known them both for years. We had to rearrange due to covid and plans were constantly changing due to ever changing restrictions, but Lee and Jane made it all so easy and were so understanding and helpful on all matters. Fast forward to the day itself and they were fantastic! Everyone commented on how lovely they both were, how they fit right in and how they thought they were already friends of ours (feel we’ve made two new friends :) ). They captured everything so perfectly, even staying later than planned at the last minute due to a change in plans again, which we were so grateful for! Where do we start with Lee and Jane, they are genuinely some of the nicest people you will meet. If you want something personal and tailored to you, these are the people! And the amazing photos are a huge bonus! We found Lee and Jane on addtoevent but felt unsure just booking from a website, we got in touch and asked if they were attending any wedding fairs in the next few weeks so we could meet. They were helpful from the start and couldn’t have made us both feel more at ease. We met them at the Magna centre in Sheffield and it honestly felt as if you were meeting friends. They took the time to get to know us (2 hours in the pub!), visit the venue and the church and the end result was more than we could have wished for. They managed to get everything in that we wanted and were so relaxed throughout the day; it was like having 2 extra guests! They were really discrete and captured some really special moments with us and our guests. We can’t recommend these guys enough, if we could give 100 stars, we would! Thank you so much Lee and Jane! Lee and Jane photographed our wedding on 4th May 2019. Apologies for the late review which bears no reflection on the service they provided but rather on how useless I am at this kind of thing! ! We liked Lee and Jane instantly on our first meeting and knew they were the photographers for us. They are incredibly nice, genuine people and made us feel totally relaxed. This feeling extended to the meeting we had beforehand at the venue and throughout our Wedding Day. They were unobtrusive and were just ‘part of the day’. We wanted a relaxed atmosphere set of photos and they delivered exactly that. A few regrets on missed group photos but that is our fault not theirs. It’s funny how you think you have everything covered until you look through the end result thinking ‘I wish we had one with...’ Like I said, totally our fault. It was an absolute please to work with Lee and Jane from start to finish. They are such lovely, friendly, warm people. They made the whole process very easy and stress free. We was unfortunate to have a day of rain for our wedding, but that did not stop their work and professionalism and they worked so hard to make most of the day even though we all got wet! At the reception they were loved by all and they fitted in so well mixing in with family and friends. All the photos we received in a beautifully presented usb stick, they all are gorgeous, amazing and you can not tell at all it was raining and my dress being muddy was all taken away. What do you love most about your job?
We absolutely love our work and honestly feel privileged to be in a position where we are part of one of the most important days in a couples life together. Every wedding is unique and a completely different experience. We capture those special and honest moments and ensure they are able to be re-lived for years to come. There can't be many jobs that provide that level of job satisfaction. We are very lucky.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We were inspired by the element of freedom that running your own business provides. We are in a position where we are able to make decisions and choices that make people happy and provide a lifetime of memories.
Why should our clients choose you?
We have a truly loving relationship and are fortunate enough to be best friends, so working together is an absolute dream come true which we feel is reflected in our work. Together we make the ideal photography team, we have a unique style and approach that combines a methodical and technical eye for detail and composition, with the emotional awareness, flair and artistry needed to really capture those natural, real and honest moments shared between family and friends.
