What do you love most about your job?
As a small business owner myself, I love the though of adding real value to other peoples business. Being a fundamental part of helping our clients grow is very rewarding! I also enjoy the variety within our client base meaning no 2 days are the same.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked as a Divisional Safety Manager for a large PLC for more then a decade, I would constantly get asked H&S related questions by people with their own business. I liked the idea of helping people further their business in instances where H&S had become an obstacle. I decided to quit a well paid job and have 12 months at trying to start the business... That was 18 years ago.
Why should our clients choose you?
Apart from the obvious... we are really good at what we do. The main reason, would be our honesty and professional integrity. We do not tend to lose clients and even still have the very first 2 clients we ever took on. I have worked along side the same business owners for almost 2 decades, through good times and bad and will always put their business needs ahead of our own.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
There are some things we can do remotely however the majority of our work will ordinarily require access to our clients site. Where possible we will limit time spend on clients sites by writing reports up at our own offices.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Being in the Health & Safety industry we are experts in the standards and practical implementation of Covid-19 guidance. Our advisers will make every effort to work remotely where possible and will lead by example when working at our clients premises.
We have actively completed numerous Covid-19 risk assessments for our clients and had these reviewed by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) on more then one occasion.
Competent Person Package (Retained Contract)
This is where we act as the H&S advisor on an ongoing basis. We would agree a set number of days support over a 12 month period that was affordable and allowed us to adequately manage the H&S demands of your business.
We currently have contracts of all sizes, from 2 days per annum to multiple days per week. It really depends on the company size and needs.
