We’ve been working with Alastair for nearly a year on a complicated project. He has been extremely flexible with face-to-face meetings with ourselves and co-ordinating discussions with the planning department. We’ve also successfully communicated most of our thoughts/ideas/changes via email as we are living outside the uk. We have faced hurdles including our house being given Grade 2 listing during our planning discussions with the council. Alastair has been beyond patient with us changing our minds on areas and adapting the plans to suit the way our family will use our new space. He organized 3D walk-through visualizations which have helped enormously in bringing our plans to life and understanding if the space will work. I'd set out to buy a barn conversion & ended up with a 1980's bungalow & ideas to transform it into a very modern 'barn style' single storey dwelling. Alastair not only understood exactly what I wanted to achieve but shared my enthusiasm for the project. His plans are imaginative & innovative & he has come up with a design which maximises the available space to realise my vision of a light, bright family home. We had met and spoken to a few architects but couldn't find one we were comfortable with. Alastair has been brilliant. Firstly he took our vision for what we wanted and came up with brilliant plans which we have now agreed, and secondly we have been away for a couple of weeks and he promised that he would send everything in for planning. We didn't need to chase, we got an email whilst away to say he had done it and his care with clients is second to none. Alastair was a real pleasure to work with on our major renovation and extension project. He listened closely to our brief, explored some really exciting ideas and most importantly worked in partnership with us to develop an innovative and beautiful design.
