How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Most garages are suitable for conversion its more about what would be required to do that conversion. So everyone is different . We will carry out a full survey to determine what would be involved from a structural point of view, the integrity of the roof and then of course what you want in your garage conversion whether it be simply to create more living space or whether you are looking for a new kitchen Bathroom or that extra bedroom.
We also do a full appraisal of the value of the property post garage conversion. Of course we take care of all certification and building regulations.

Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
1. Discuss requirements
2. design and provide quotation
3. supply detailed schedule of works including specifications building regulation and certification requirements
From those detailed schedule of works the main stages include
1. prepare floor sub structure,kiln dry sand damp proof membranes insulation level then apply tanalised flooring structure.
2. Remove existing garage door and excavate foundation for either brick wall or block wall for pv over structure
3. supply first fix electrics , all light switches power points pendants and heat source requirements subject to survey.
4. All ceiling wall and floor insulation to building reg standard
5. to supply and fix foil backed plasterboard and skim ready for decorative finish
5. Apply finished floor requirements . Tiled .Laminate or wood etc
6. fit any additional bedroom bathroom kitchen requirements
7. do all second fix electrics
8. Complete to decorative finish if required

What inspired you to start your own business?
The previous frustration of working for big companies and only being able to be part of the process. To be able to see the job through and do things how they should be done . We are successful as over 60% of our business comes from recommendation.
