We got a puppy in October 2015 and booked Diana for a day of puppy sitting when our puppy was still just 10 weeks old. When we initially met Diana before the puppy sitting day she recommended we had a Puppy Advice Session for a very reasonable charge. The Puppy Advice Session has proved just so so useful. Thank you! It's April 2016 now and I have built up the time I can leave my puppy, who initially had separation anxiety and I can now comfortably leave him for at least 2.5 hours now. It has taken a lot of work but Diana gave us personalised advice to get the ball rolling and has been so helpful since. The Puppy Advice Session introduced us to clicker training, which has been fantastic in training him to do new things, he just picks it up so much more quickly. During the hour we spent with Diana she gave us so much information personalised to us and our dog and our home. It is not comparable to puppy school and obedience training, because while that is important and worthwhile, different habits can occur in the home and Diana has helped us to learn how to deal with them and nip them in the bud. We now have a 7 month old puppy who is calm and well behaved at home and happy to be left. I wouldn't hesitate to have further Puppy Advice Sessions and would recommend them to all with new dogs. Diana has walked my dog once a week for almost a year now, and at other times when requested. I have always found her to be completely trustworthy, caring and knowledgable and know that my dog loves his walks with her. She assessed my dog in the beginning and eventually built a rapport so that he could be let off the lead (as he loves to run!) and walk/play with other dogs which is great for his continuing socialisation. One thing which I love about the service is the texts I receive if I need to know anything after the walk, and also the photos which she always puts on Facebook which allow me to see exactly what he has been up to (and, obviously thoroughly enjoying himself!). Barney has struggled in the past with trips to the groomers and unfortunately was subjected to rough treatment. It has been a god send finding Hessle Pet Services. Diana built up trust with Barney through having short grooming sessions, plenty of cuddles, tlc and tasty treats. He built up to having his first full groom today and I can honestly say I was completely relaxed whilst he was being groomed. In the past I have been extremely anxious as before I was aware of Barneys previous groomers rough treatment he would continuously get ill after a groom. This often ended in him being admitted to the vet as he would get urine infections from the stress. I was delighted to find out about the services Diana provides. I would 100% recommend Diana to work with all dogs but especially for very anxious dogs or those who have had bad experiences like my boy had. I couldn't be happier with how well things have turned out. Barney looks very cute and I'm amazed at how different he looks now he has been expertly groomed, not to mention how much cleaner he stays now his feet and underneath are being trimmed properly.Thank you so much for taking such care with my boy.Anne-Marie Sambrook & Barney boy More...
