What do you love most about your job?
Caring for people and promoting well being. I currently run several supported living units and also provide home care to vulnerable adults. Keeping people safe and ensuring they are cared for makes me feel fulfilled. Everyday is made up of meeting the needs of my clients and ensuring that their wishes are put into consideration. I am a promoter of Person centred care. All service users are given the opportunity to plan their care. Giving quality care is what I love most about my job whilst empowering others.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Love for people and my community. I have worked in the corporate world for many years and always wanted to run a care business caring for others. An opportunity came 5 years ago after I attended a business start up workshop. I started out with one supported living unit and once we were underway, I saw the impact it had on the users of the service. I decided to open up a few more units and also register with the Care quality commission. Seeing the life long impact I was having on the lives of others spurred me on. I have enjoyed the journey so far and continue to be inspired by the lives we are shaping.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Updated Covid Policy and training for staff. Full PPE kit for each client. Temperature checks daily for all staff. Monitoring of health of all staff and service users daily.
