Very professional and great at tailoring programme to our personal needs
How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
Well everyone is different so there isn't a standardised approach, but to give you an idea it would be as follows:
- initial consultation to find out exactly what it is you're trying to achieve and set some targets for us to work towards
- session one we spend some time taking measurements with a tape measure and use body fat calipers to work out your current body fat % - this acts as baseline so we can see the changes you've made when we retest
- I get you to track your food & drink intake for a week so i can where you're at with your food choices
- I show you the quick and easy way of tracking your daily food intake so you stay at the right level for weight & fat loss
- exercise! We spend 1/2/3 sessions (hour each) together each week and work through a personalised workout I devise based around what you want to achieve. I provide all the kit, all you need is water
- I help you identify simple ways you can increase your total weekly energy expenditure by moving more outside of our sessions together
- if you have a good level of self motivation then I can make up a 15-20 minute workout plan for you to follow in between our sessions.
From here it's then just a case of measuring what's working, and what's not, and making tweaks and adjustments until we get the balance right.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
There is no secret or hidden 'magic' pill. Consistency is key, with food and exercise. I teach all of my clients how to get this balance right so they still enjoy life without restrictions whilst getting great results.
What do you love most about your job?
Working with a great bunch of clients, and seeing people change and hit their goals - perhaps a bit cliche but true.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Several reasons, I wanted to be in control of when I work (I have a Golden Retriever so I want to be home for him) and who I work with, plus I love helping others improve their health, and realise you can be healthy and enjoy life!
Why should our clients choose you?
This is a good question, your clients should choose the coach they get on with most. I build great working relationships with my clients, I understand very quickly where they're at and the tools they need to grow. I also track the progress of my clients so I can see what's working and what isn't, and make adjustments as we go to keep you on track.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes, sessions are available via Zoom, either completely online or as a hybrid of online and face to face at the gym.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All of us are more aware of regular hand washing, and staying away from others if you feel unwell (which you should be doing anyway irrelevant of covid).
The gym have several doors they open to allow fresh air to blow through the gym, it rarely gets too crowded in there, plus there is a dedicated outdoor area where we can train outside.
My own equipment gets cleaned between clients, it always has been, but more so after the last few years.
Energy & Vitality Boost
This is an extra I can add in for you based off my 13 years as a personal trainer. The focus here is a lot more towards your general wellbeing, especially your energy levels. When you're in low energy it is a lot harder to change and stay in a productive, or desired state (that is feeling motivated/unstoppable/confident etc) and a lot easier to slip back into old patterns and thoughts/feeling loops.
There are plenty of simple habits we can include that have a huge benefit without taking lots of your time.
