Banbury bridal we’re absolutely amazing with my wedding dress on my first appointment I was very nervous but Lara soon brought me out of my shell and I left with my dress that very day. Went back for the alterations which needed big changes due to losing lots of weight. Absolutely awful experience. Found the perfect dress from here which was far too big. They charged over £330 to get it altered. They had it for a year. 4 fittings on, and a week before my wedding they told me they had taken it in too much. And had left no material to take it back out and it was unlikely they would be able to do anything with it. It was left with a trainee whilst supervisor was on holiday (I understand people need training, but at least be under supervision!). I was told I may need to look at finding another dress!! A week before my wedding?!?! And when I complained, I was told I would need to pay more to have their mistake fixed!! That was not going to happen. Eventually they managed to add some panels to make it just about fit but they refused to reinforce the button for my train to hang onto! I had to take it elsewhere and pay more to get that done. It is not a stress you need a week before your wedding!! My advice - if you find your perfect dress from this shop, take it elsewhere to be altered - will be cheaper, get done properly and you’ll avoid this unnecessary stress!! More...

I had a lovely time at Banbury Bridal, I went in not having a clue on what I wanted along with a low budget and so was really nervous and actually dreading it however I was helped out massively and made to feel at ease, they really helped me and I said yes to the most amazing dress, one that I never thought I would be able to get so thank you so much ladies, highly recommend this boutique xx

I went last year shortly after getting engaged and felt rushed and like an inconvenience when I wanted to stand a look at the dress for a few seconds before knowing what I liked/didn’t like about it. Then I was put into a larger dress and was held back by another lady rather than clips and I just didn’t get that ‘wow!’ feeling as it felt unprofessional. I felt pressured into liking a dress and rushed into making a decision. My mum was then charged £50+ for them to order in a sample in my size ????????‍♀️ which I had to wait a few weeks for and it still had to be held back by a person. What a waste of money! This was the 2nd dress shop I went to. The 1st one I went with my sister when she was getting married and she wanted us to try on dresses together so we did. I was put in a size 18 dress and could not move even my arm so I was worried when it came to picking my dress. Clair was there when I walked in and was very friendly. She asked me what I wanted and pick out a few dresses. I could not believe they fitted and I could see myself. Carol came in a while later and was also friendly I feel in love with a dress and that was that. After having a few thought over a few days about the dress asked to come in and try it again and there was no problem with that at all. Clair made sure I was happy and all was well. We popped in just on the off chance that we could have a look at some prom dresses... the staff in there are very welcoming and go out of their way to help you. They had half an hour before there next appointment, so they let my daughter try on what ever she liked. We ended up getting one of the dresses. I’d certainly go back there. They were amazing. Posting on behalf of a friend who has been blocked from posting a review (funny that considering Banbury Bridal clearly knew she was extremely upset and would leave them a bad review). But you ladies deserve to know what you’re in for here.. What an awful experience, didn't get to look round the store at any dresses. Carol tried to get me to buy the first one I tried on even though I didn't like it and it was falling apart! She said don’t worry they can fix it!! She then got another one which I did like but not love. She said there's always going to be a better dress, I asked if I could go away and have a think and she said no, If I don’t buy it now I risk losing out on it. So I decided to purchase after she kept saying how amazing I looked, she then tried to get me to alter it there and then, even though I hadn't found my shoes yet. The seamstress said for me to wait until I got my shoes. I was then told to hurry up as I was getting dressed as the next appointment had turned up. I then paid in full as was not offered to pay a deposit. (This is the first bridal store I’ve been to so I didn’t know you could pay deposits) I got home and that night realised how rushed it was and how they'd conned me into buying something I did not love. After worrying about this I then messaged the shop to say how unhappy I was and that from a picture I took in store the dress was also ripped on the back. She told me to pop into store. I arrived in store the following Saturday to be told they had gone ahead with the alternations without my knowledge!! I then said because of everything that had gone on I would like a full refund, I'm not happy about the forceful sale, the rip and now the alterations. She refused me a refund and said I asked them to do this! She then told me they did not do refunds, at no point when I said I wanted to go away and think about it did she say if I purchased I could not return it. I then left store without the dress and continued talking to the store through email who continued to say it wasn't true and that there was nothing wrong with the dress, you can clearly see in the photos of my originals there is a rip and magically in their photos a week later it is fixed and you can visibly see a little pressure point where someone has sewed across the rip to fix it. I did contact citizens advice who advised me I could take them to court but after all this stress this store has caused me and the planning of my wedding I can't add the stress of going to court. After 3 months I sent a friend to collect the dress so I can try to sell it on myself and finally end what has been a complete nightmare. I would advise anyone to avoid this store at all costs!! I have been looking for my dress for a long time and have never come close to finding my dream dress until today! Banbury Bridal should be every brides first port of call to find their wedding dress! The choice was endless and Carol and Claire were incredible! They made me feel so comfortable and at ease and nothing was too much trouble! I don’t normally leave reviews but after visiting the shop on Saturday and reading some of the reviews from a while back I felt I needed too! I was fitted in last min for Saturday morning and the team there were ever so friendly and helpful, left us to have a look at the dresses first and pull out some options before helping me find a few more in different shapes and styles so I could try on a variety. I was made to feel super comfortable throughout and nothing was too much trouble, I had got it down to two dresses and wanted to try them on one after the other to help us make a decision so that’s what we did! We were given a price that was valid for the day but at no point was I made to feel under any pressure to buy the dress, they understood I had somewhere else booked on Monday and we were told to go and have a coffee and a think about it and just to pop back in before the end of the day if I wanted to go ahead! Of course we went straight back after some well deserved breakfast and research into the only dress I was going to try on Monday (google is a life saver). I had most definitely found the one and couldn’t bare to loose it! The dress was a sample so we were to take it away on the day and they were all to happy for me to check the dress over before bagging it up! If you are looking for a beautiful dress, amazing value (and I mean really amazing value) friendly polite service and a relaxed environment in which to find your dress then Banbury Bridal is for you! I didn't know what I wanted and it was like they knew before I did, They found me the perfect dress that was just meant for me! The first place I went to look for my dress and I'm glad I went here, they was great with my 6 month old and kept an eye on him while I got my fitting as I went alone. the staff are lovely! I know that if I have any future plans when I will need a beautiful dress I'll always come back here. Really lovely hair. I’ve been a Great Lengths client for 2-3 years and I was paying around £600+ for 100 bonds in 18 inch (the hair was quite thin) for £370 I got 150 bonds in 20 inch, the hair is so thick, really soft and super shiny. I got the flat tips (same fixing as Great Lengths) and I’m really happy I found this salon! I’ve not compromised on quality and I’ve saved money! I got my dress here 3 years ago but only got married last September. I only paid £50 for it, my belt cost more & so did my shoes, lol. Although I did spend £300 altering it to make it more fitted as it was 2 sizes too big for me. It was a 14 and I was a 10. I loved it & had so many compliments on it, no one would of guessed it was £50 in the sample sale. The only thing I will say is that I had an appointment and was left for 10 minutes, then I had to ask a question to get someone to actually help me, then I was given this dress which was too big for me & the lady just said it could be altered if it needs it? I knew it was too big before getting into the changing room, although I did fall in love with it. I was then quickly ushered to get dressed & pay. I was out of the shop with a wedding dress in my arm in less than an hour. I just felt a little looked down on, even though I could afford the full price dresses, I just like a bargain. You should never judge a book. I would still recommend the shop due to the sales but not necessarily the staff I'm afraid. More...

The first time of coming here.. Such LOVLEY lady's. They both went out of there way . I went in for colour match she even took me outside into the daylight. Very professional the hair is Remy they only use real hair. After explaining I needed my hair in before this Saturday because I was flying out to Cyprus for my daughter's wedding, they even found me a cancellation at the last minute, one happy person thank you so much both of you.
