Haughton Hall Hotel

We held our wedding at Haughton Hall on Sat 08.06.19 and the whole process from the beginning was easy and stress free thanks to our wedding planner Rebecca Bateman. On the day everything (apart from the weather) went to plan and the staff were really attentive to our large party of guests. A massive thank you to Lucie Gilmore (Duty Manager) who kept us informed and calm throughout the day and Josh (evening Duty Manager). The hotel itself is amazing with its classic interior and great facilities. The food was superb, from the wedding breakfast (which everyone commented on how good it tasted) to our meals throughout the next day. We had our wedding at Haughton Hall on 8.6.19 and echoing what my new husband said in a earlier review. The staff are just amazing from Rebecca Bateman, Lucie Gilmore and Josh. They were all so attentive and nothing was to much trouble. They made sure it was completely stress free. The food was just outstanding and the service flawless. Stayed for Murder Mystery weekend lovely comfy room , superb food the staff were really helpful & friendly whilst remaining professional. I stayed at the hotel in the boardroom suite the night before my wedding it was just amazing & very relaxing in the huge bath tub, the bed was comfortable & i had a fairly good night's sleep although there was some noise as there was another wedding reception going on the next day we had our wedding reception here all of the staff were very warm & welcoming & worked there socks off if i had to pick one fault it would be the sauces for meat coming out a little too late after food had been served but on the whole the food was delicious, we also stayed at the hotel the night of the wedding & had a lovely cooked breakfast the next day & spent hours making use of the swimming pool facilities we would like to thank all the staff at haughton hall for making our dreams become a reality it was just perfect a truely beautiful day. A group of ladies stayed for 3 nights while attending a convention nearby. Food was gorgeous, rooms clean and comfortable but the best bit was the hospitality, we were made so welcome and nothing was too much trouble

Booked this on Travelzoo and got a delightful surprise!
A proper old hall!
The old hall was nicely furnished and decorated.
We ate int eh restaurant - lovely food, not too pub grub, not to elitist. staff in restaurant were relaxed and helpful.
The room was in the 'modern' extension - which looks like it could do with a bit of further modernisation - a bit chintzy and bathroom suite was outdated tiles - however, it was all nice and clean, shower was powerful and hot (lovely).
Bed was crisp white, clean and comfy.
Breakfast was buffet - all nice enough to eat - could have been hotter - but this is pretty typical of buffet meals.
Sadly didn't have time to use the spa as was overnight for business - a great stay
Stunning grounds and lovely location for trips to Staffordshire attractions, and Weston Park Hall

I can not put in to words how fantastic both the venue and staff are at Haughton Hall Hotel!!
We married here on the 30th September 2017, after 18 months of planning, the day came around so quick. We dealt with Nicky the Hotel General Manager from start to finish and we could not have had a nicer lady to deal with for our special day, nothing was too much trouble for her!
The venue itself is stunning, it’s exactly how a Manor House should be! The grounds are gorgeous and if you get a chance to explore you will find a huge fishing lake with a nice little magical garden just down the path.
The Manor room is ideal for any special event with a blank canvas, unlike other hotels which tend to have bold decoration on the walls, which is not what you want for a wedding. The rooms are lovely sizes and if you are lucky you can get a gorgeous view from staying in one of the front rooms :)
The main thing that sets this hotel apart from others is the staff, they certainly make the hotel with all of their hard work and dedication. Everyone we came across was happy to be there, nothing was ever too much of an effort for them.
We can not thank Nicky and the team enough for making our day amazing!
We will certainly be back for upcoming events :)

After reading negative reports on other review web sites, we were a bit concerned . We arrived on the 2nd of Dec ,and met a very nice lady at reception desk who was very helpful, who told us there was a wedding reception that evening , and could be a bit noisy, so we upgraded to different room. We found the room very comfortable and all olde worlde throughout, a bit different from motor way concrete jungles We only had a night there, but will be booking again. The evening was obviously very busy, but the staff,under a lot of pressure were still helpful on ordering our meal.Once again thank you to all staff. More...

we stayed for 2 nights .one being a gift for us to enjoy a relaxing spa break with a treatment, must say we arrived out of our comfort zone as not a thing we usually do,. The staff could not have been any more welcoming, which put us at ease immediately . Our room was warm clean and comfortable could not wish for more. some people have said a bit dated so we went prepared, but open minded yes our room took us back to the 70s i will admit but great memories we have of the 70s..loved the big stair ways etc so pleased its been kept in keeping of its age lovely building..as for the food and service could not fault it ,.our massage with Helen was so relaxing also the time we spent in the pool area. Booked Afternoon Tea for my friend's 70th and was not disappointed. Everything was really tasty and plentiful. Chocolate Fondue was perfect end to a lovely afternoon.
