After four years in business, trying to understand the world of marketing and failing, enlisting the help of two other marketing companies at great expense but becoming none the wiser, I finally find Angie Downs at Halo Effect Marketing and the fog clears.
Finally, a marketing expert who explains to me in plain English what I need to know and takes ownership for all the technical stuff that I really need to know but am not skilled to manage.
Since we started working together, Angie has provided me with a health check to identify areas that need attention, tailored to my business, and has provided me with strategy that she is prepared to lead and take ownership for.
Angie provides a plan, and follows that plan through, working with the other agencies to achieve it, all the time explaining to me clearly what is going on and what is needed from me, advising me what she thinks is best.
Angie has my back, spotting anomalies on social media that could harm our reputation and offering to deal with them, the time and stress that this saves me cannot be underestimated.

What do you love most about your job?
I love making a difference to a small business by helping them to find more customers and create more success. It is an absolute pleasure to help people who are so committed and dedicated to make their business a success.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked for large companies all of my life and gained a lot of skills and experience in marketing. I really want to use this to help small companies who don't have the budgets or the opportunities that big companies do.
