Hall Training is an exceptional place with exceptional standards. It’s a really lovely, accepting, positive place to be - every trainer is fantastic, you feel you’re in very safe hands, it’s incredibly welcoming and whatever your goals, they’ll help you reach them in a safe supported way. Hall Personal Training is a super great personal training gym. I have never invested in something like this but with a wedding coming up and generally wanting to get to grips with what a long-term healthy and sustainable life would look like, I signed up! I was only part of the gym for 1 month as I left the location, but even then they provided a personalized package according to my needs and I have been equipped with important knowledge which I'll surely take with me. You won't regret it, though, the best is if you are staying on for the long-term! More...

I joined Hall Personal Training around 4 months ago & with the support of this amazing team of trainers I've lost over 10 kilos! ! I had given up all hope of ever losing weight again, I'd hit 50 & was feeling miserable about the way I looked. Of course, before I found them I had really tried to lose the weight, in the past I had joined a gym, I had paid for a few personal training sessions, joined weight watchers & I went to exercise classes but nothing ever seemed to work. I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong. They really do know what they are doing, they personalise your diet plan & adapt the workouts to work best for you. Even when you are not booked into you regular training session with one of Hall's excellent trainers, you have free access to the gym. There's no need to trade off affording a gym membership with a PT: Hall Personal Training has got you covered.The service goes far beyond personal training with gym access added on. Hall's app helps you to keep track of your progress so that you can see how you're performing and enjoy or even share your new PBs. Wondering about your protein v carb intake or optimum step count? You can book in a monthly 1:1 to go over your nutritional plan and you'll get emails from Chris with little videos sharing the latest news.On site there's parking, showers a mini-shop and...shhh... an espresso machine. The offer here really couldn't be better thought out. For me, the icing on the cake really is the trainers themselves. The level of knowledge that they bring is exceptional and their ability to explain every movement means that I trust their direction absolutely. With their help I quickly achieve perfect form in a new exercise. Then there's the fact that no matter which of the team I train with, they all already know me and can help me to judge when to push harder. After only 3 months I'm very excited for the next 3. On looking for some personal training, especially to help with some long term injuries Hall Personal Training was at the top of the list. Having seen the website and Instagram I thought I would head along and give it a go. The place is impressive, with top of the range kit and attention to detail in the branding which I like! Cowshed shampoo is always a win! The training is excellent with all of the trainers and you quickly understand that you are in safe and knowledgeable hands.The best thing though is the community. Getting to meet other people who through all works of life are trying to reach that next goal. Great training, high accountability and making working out something I look forward to. I cant recommend Hall Personal Training enough. I have been a member for about 3 months and I love it. The trainers are all really lovely and make each session very personal and motivating. The sessions are varied so you don't get bored and they accommodate all abilities. The gym itself is fantastic - it is always ready for your session when you arrive and is always clean and tidy. I particularly like that they have an area for you to relax before or after a session and you never feel rushed out of the door. The group PT sessions are great. You still get a personal session but with the added bonus of others to spur you on and motivate you. If your goal is to get stronger, fitter and meet some lovely people this is the place to go. This is by far the best gym I have ever walked in to. Hall Training came highly recommended and with perfect timing. I was hugely unfit and needed to lose weight and couldn’t get the motivation on my own. Since joining in April the difference is quite remarkable and the motivation is still there. I consider this an exceptionally high class gym with the personal touch. Having regular personal training here (on own, pairs or small groups) in such a lovely environment has made a huge difference.The team are all lovely, without exception. Each team member has a wealth of knowledge. Each session is varied and you are always pushed (tailored individually), nutritional advice and regular catch ups are included and the advice is superb - it works! Not once have I felt I didn’t belong - all shapes, sizes and fitness levels are welcome here (and its a genuine welcome!).In addition the gym is spotlessly clean, modern and sleek looking. The equipment is fantastic and well looked after, the showers and changing facilities are in league with a hotel and for when you are done or before there are comfy sofas and an area to make drinks. The friendliest gym I have ever been to. They push you hard, but work with you to make sure you are safe and happy. I originally joined to aid my marathon training (I had only run a half marathon fairly slowly before) and managed to run the whole marathon in just under 5 hours. I have also got PBs across all sorts of weight lifting. A great all round gym for anyone looking to achieve their goals. More...

A great gym. They work with you individually or in a small group to make sure you get the attention you need. A real focus on using correct form and how to achieve the best results. They can help with diet and nutrition too. Friendly and approachable trainers who are always happy to answer questions. They can adapt to you if you have any injuries or difficulties. I would recommend Hall Personal Training to anyone who can afford it. The personal trainers are always professional, polite and friendly and seem to be very experienced and knowledgable about what they do. The Hall Personal Training Studio is also a great environment to train in, clearly a lot of thought went into creating it (and it was actually built by the trainers themselves which is pretty cool). There are always only a handful of people there including the trainers, so it is not intimidating if you don't know what you're doing. The facilities are also well equipped and nicely presented. The place also seems extremely clean and tidy as well.I liked the two on one sessions as it helps to get to know the other clients, and the trainers are generally pretty good at giving equal attention to both clients. The months I spent at Hall Personal Training were beyond beneficial. I had never participated in small group personal training before, and was a bit apprehensive. However, once I started the sessions I was amazed by how much I enjoyed them. All the trainers are friendly and extremely proficient in their knowledge and techniques. I felt in safe hands at all times and they were excellent in pushing me during sessions and talking through reaching my specific goals. The space itself is a lovely alternative to a regular gym. There is a real community-hub feeling and it allows you to get to know your fellow members as well as chilling out with a coffee or a protein shake after an intense session. I enjoyed the variety in sessions and how the training plan changed every four weeks - it allowed me to see and track my progress. Hall Personal Training also have their own app, which I found extremely beneficial - it allowed me to track my nutrients as well as my progress in weight lifting and cardio and provided video breakdowns of all the workouts so I could complete them when I was on holidays or unable to make it to the gym itself. All in all, my time there was an invaluable experience and I would wholly recommend Hall Personal Training to anyone wanting to build confidence and make changes surrounding their fitness journey. I trained one-on-one with Chris for two years and really loved his enthusiasm in getting behind my goals and pushing me to reach them. He's also amazingly patient and is able to answer pretty much any question about exercise and nutrition you can think of (no matter how silly). Training with Chris has completely transformed my attitude to fitness and I'm sure it's mostly been down to his thorough approach, and his ability to really listen to what you want from your training. After such a great experience I was a bit apprehensive about the move to the new studio but I was completely wrong to be! It's been lovely to get to know Becky, George and Georgey, all of whom are really good at gauging how to motivate and push you, in whichever way suits you best. They all have such a thorough knowledge of what they're doing and their different styles of training complement each other perfectly. The studio has a lovely, friendly atmosphere and it's been great to see how the new gym has created a community feeling. There's always something going on - most recently Becky organised brunch for the Hall Town and Gown runners - and they're always coming up with new ideas to try and improve the space and their service.It's an amazing place to train, and no detail goes unmissed. Rewind to February when I apprehensively walked through the doors, just to enquire.Fast forward to April when I can honestly say the best thing I’ve accomplished for years was to join Hall Training. The physical & mental support I receive on a daily basis is immense.Three sessions of full on training per week combined with nutritional advice & support is helping me to shed the lbs. I’d been training with Hall Training for quite a while before they moved to the new studio and was really keen to try out the different types of training with the semi-private sessions and the small group sessions too. Having been a member of several other local gyms, some of them can be quite corporate or intimidating which really isn’t the vibe here - everyone is so friendly and supportive. What I think’s really good is that you might be in a semi-private or small group session but actually it still feels like you’re getting 1-to-1 training, everything is tailored for your goals. I had a small group session at Hall Personal Training as was so impressed with the quality of the coaching and the facility. The session was challenging and incorporated variation of resistance exercises, cardio and enough mobility (which I often find lacking in group training!). This is an updated review as the team has moved to a new gym in Kidlington. The focus is on small group (2 on 1 and 4 on 1) training. I had previously been having one on one personal training and wasn't sure that the small group training was for me. However, I have to say I love it. It is great training with different people and encouraging each other as well as the slight differences between each of the four trainers. Although you can still play a tune on my hamstrings I'm more flexible than ever, stronger than ever and have kept off the stone and a bit. Would thoroughly recommend. More...

I have been working with the team at Hall for awhile and I can say that hands down they are the best personal trainers in Oxford. I have chronic pain from an knee injury as a teenager and was worried about making it worse. Their team is the first I have encountered that have truly understood the right exercises that I could do so that I am not in more pain after a workout. I was hesitant to start working out and with a personal trainer, but I am very glad that I did. If you are questioning if it is right for you, have a chat with the team, they are amazing and so friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to feel better and get in shape. More...

I have been with Hall Training for two years ago because I wanted to get in shape for a holiday. The team have really helped me to achieve and maintain my results and it’s been great working with them. When we moved to the new studio I was worried about the small group training sessions but I love them, and I actually enjoy them more than 1-on-1, there’s always someone to encourage you. I’ve never been to a gym before where I want to sit down and hang out after my sessions, it’s such a different gym environment - so supportive and friendly and much less intimidating than a normal gym set up. It’s just about being fit and healthy and having fun and I’d definitely recommend Hall Training to anyone looking for a fitter, stronger lifestyle. More...
