Hugo always comes back happy and extremely well groomed. For a 36 kg golden retriever, he takes some care, but Sarah knows how to keep him calm and sends him home smelling and looking like a puppy :-) highly recommended

Sarah hand stripped our Border Terrier. From initial phone call through to after care we received an excellent service. The Christmas bandana and goodie bag were also a lovely touch!

Our first visit today , firstly I only rang yesterday and Sarah fitted Coco in . She's done an amazing job on her ... We had Coco trimmed last week and she looked awful , but today she looks absolutely beautiful ! ! Would nt take my dogs anywhere else now !!

We have been taking our two Miniature Schnauzers to Hair'n'Hounds for nearly two years now. Sarah and Chris make us and the dogs feel very welcome, the dogs are always happy to visit, get treated with great care and affection and come out looking fabulous.

I could not be more pleased with my first visit to Hair'N'Hounds with my cross breed 'Mia' .
She is quite a nervous dog , and I explained this to the two ladies on arrival . I need not have worried at all .She could not have been treated any kinder , I could tell I was leaving her in safe hands .When I arrived back there to pick her up , she seemed perfectly happy and relaxed , even letting the gentleman there , pick her up and hold her . She looked so beautiful , the best she has ever looked . They had followed my request on how I would like her to look , but , I was taken aback at the care and attention to detail . Took our 14 week old Mini Schnauzer Chester for his first puppy grooming session. From the moment I spoke to Sarah on the phone I felt completely confident. Baxter arrived in November time, and upon entering met their two lovely Giants. Now baxter is very temperamental with other dogs, so it can go either way with how he reacts, but they were so lovely to him and I believe this settled him straight away.

He's not the best behaved for others and will never win awards, but Hair n Hounds should! They done a fantastic job with him and I would recommend them to anyone whose dog is in need of a cut. We've visited others whom have been very judgemental about Bax, but not hair n hounds! Full of compliments for my little sh*t! We'll be back soon, he's in need of his trim. Thank you! More...

I have tried many local groomers but wasn’t happy with the way my miniature schnauzer Hattie looked when she came out. On one occasion i was asked if she was a Scotty dog!
I was recommended Hair N Hounds by a lady from Schnauzer Club UK facebook page.
Sarah couldn’t have been more helpful, she talked me through how she was going to trim Hattie’s hair even showing me her own dog as an example .
When i picked Hattie up i couldn’t have been more pleased Sarah did a fantastic job and we have already booked Hattie’s next appointment in October

Having just seen yet another wonderful groom by Sarah I just had to come and say what a brilliant conscientious Groomer she is.
Her attention to detail, styling and the obvious love her furry clients have for her, and she for them, shown through their eyes looking at her when being photographed, shows she's a keeper for anyone lucky enough to have their furry friend groomed by her skilled hands. Having been in this profession for nearly 50 years now, Groomers of her standard are worth their weight in gold.

Taken my dog Harvey there for first time today I was a bit worried has he's a nervous dog but was really reassured how friendly the owners are they tried to soothe him were I found before the other places I've been they wasn't very dog friendly he come out with a wonderful cut and looks amazing will defiantly be going back thank you � .

I travel all the way from Essex for Sarah to groom my giant schnauzer and I can honestly say that he has never looked so good. The first time we went he was a bit of a challenge because he had never been groomed on a table before, but Sarah was so patient with him and we came up with a plan to make him feel more confident on the table. My cocker spaniel, Cooper, has been going to Hair N Hounds for a year now and the service is amazing! You feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door and you know your pet is always in safe hands. They're so busy all the time but always make sure they give every dog the care and attention they need. They even gave my boy puppy induction sessions to get him used to going before his first cut. The advice and guidance we were given from Sarah when we first thought about getting Cooper cut was outstanding, and I have 100% confidence that they know exactly what they are talking about and have a wealth of experience. Sarah and the team are amazing, so hard working and such a pleasure to know! I would always recommend them 110% to anyone I know! Looking forward to seeing you all soon!! More...

My dogs had there first grooming session today & I thought I would give an honest review:

Initially when I first arrived, the shop didn't give a good impression. It does smell damp but it is a very old building. I was also slightly put off when I told them I felt my dogs were in bad condition, as I hadn't taken them to a groomers for some time. All I really meant was a few matts may be found. So Sarah suggested Chris check them. My dog was placed on top of a freezer while Chris poked around with a brush. This is not a negative thing but it did however make me feel slightly uncomfortable, it was the first time I'd been there & feel the approach could have been a bit softer. Oh well.

Anyway after being there 5 minutes we started chatting & I became very much at ease & much more comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised at the thorough induction & the in depth questions. It reassured me that my dogs welfare was important to them & that they wanted to make sure they were happy & well taken care of, healthy and that there feelings & emotions were also understood. Fantastic.

Chris & Sarah are real people, there's no pretentious, stuck up, put on professional attitude as there is with most. It's a laid back, chilled environment where two people are doing something they like. Lovely.

Obviously, for the 3 hours I was away from my babies I was anxious about how they were, if they were happy, & how they would look. I knew deep down they'd be fine from the induction, but I didn't know how they'd look. So when I arrived to pick them up I was thrilled. They looked amazing, they were happy to see me but not over-happy at the extent I would worry that they couldn't wait to get out of the place. They were just my babies but looking like they were about to go on some photo shoot.� Bonus!

All in all I'm very happy & wanted to give a brutally honest review. So although there's room for improvement (nobody or nothing in this instance should I say, is perfect). Chris & Sarah obviously love their job, they love their dogs & they loved ours & they are good at what they do. So after my first appointment I have now booked up until Christmas, so returning I will & happy I am. Thank you. More...
