What do I recommend? Everything! Nelly my crazy Labrador absolutely ADORES her walks with Haines Hounds. To the point she basically ignores me when she’s picked up! It’s an amazing feeling seeing your dog so happy and excited, and with the fabulous photos, posts and messages, I can see for myself why she loves it so much! Not only do they walk my lovable Nelly-phant but they are there for advise as well. We rescued our Ridgeback girl just over a year ago. She is reactive on lead to other dogs (just with frustration & wanting to play. ....but loud!) & also nervous of men. The BAT sessions we have had, (as well as everything else I have learnt from the HHs ladies) in the last 2 months has allowed us to progress with Amber more in this time than all the others months previously on our own. We love Haines Hounds Dog Training, we have used the guys to help us with our reactive Westie and after following the great advice things have definitely improved & we can now all enjoy our doggy walks again. Recently Ellie came to dog sit for us as we were concerned about leaving our reactive terrier/terror in the dog kennels & what a fantastic service. Nothing was too much trouble for Ellie & she kept us informed of progress throughout the stay. We emailed Ellie about our dog who was beginning to present with aggressive / reactive behavior when meeting new dogs. Ellie came out after work at a time convenient for both my partner and I, and took the time to understand all of Grizzle's history and previous behaviors before joining us out on the street so she could see the reactivity for herself. After a good long conversation about what could be going on, Ellie then joined us for another hour walk round the park to practice the theory behind what she had explained. In total she was with us for well over three hours and not only did we find this huge value for money, the listening ear and supportive comments also made us feel that we could actually do it. Many people lack the confidence to address the behaviors their dogs present and having a behaviorist who not only believes in your dog but also in YOU cannot be underestimated.And she doesn't just specialize in reactive or aggressive dogs, if you have one with poor manners, one who never comes back when called or you are just thinking about getting a puppy ... then give her a call.
