We had a very short timescale in which to plan our wedding and had our doubts whether we would be able to find a wedding photographer. We had researched Guy’s work online on his (very helpful) website and as soon as we met Guy, we felt in safe hands and were completely comfortable with his ability to capture our big day. Liz and I are quite camera shy but Guy was able to put us at ease and the same can be said for all of our guests who commented on how unobtrusive Guy was. We barely noticed he was there during the candid shots! During the posed shots, he had plenty of ideas and was always on the look out to use the natural scenery and grounds of DeCourceys Manor to the fullest. He was also able to offer us guidance on the day itself which was wonderful – Guy is very experienced and clearly so passionate about what he does. There were so many incredible and special moments that Guy managed to capture so perfectly, and so naturally – from getting ready in the morning to dancing in the evening. I wish I could upload every photo Guy took of our wedding day. It was the best day of our lives and the photos we received capture everything that made it so special. Guy is truly unbelievable. The shots are artistic, sharp, and gorgeous, and the candid shots are so emotional and funny that I was laughing and crying all the while looking through them. I'm in absolute awe of these photos.If that isn't enough to convince you, we also had a blast shooting with Guy during our portraits and didn't notice him at all while he weaved in and out of our ceremony for candid shots. The 'Guy' you need as your photographer! We hired Guy for our wedding near Cardiff in May this year. We arranged everything via email and only met Guy for the first time on our wedding day. The communication we had with him left us with no doubt we had the right photographer to document our special day. Upon meeting him he was as friendly and helpful as he was in the emails. He put us at ease straight away. He was accommodating and made the time we had together fun! Our guests also only had positive things to say about him. We got our photos quickly after our wedding day, all of which surpassed our expectations. Having a small wedding, we only needed him for a couple of hours, he offered us great value for money. The photos Guy took of our wedding blew me away. They were just so wonderful. I don’t think there was a bad photo in the 500+ images that we received and there were some absolutely breathtaking shots of the children. Guy is a lovely bloke who was a pleasure from start to finish. He had the experience we needed as we didn't know what to ask and he guided us along. Met with him a few months before and then had a couple of phone calls to confirm a few things and iron a few things out. On the day he acted exactly as we wanted and took the photos exactly to our requests, we wanted natural photos and that's what we got. We barely noticed him aside from when he explicitly asked us to pose for photos which is great because the day is ridiculously busy regardless. I recently worked with Guy at The Ned in central London at a beautiful wedding (as The Singing Waiter Masters). From the moment we met him I knew he was friendly, easygoing and professional and he was easy to liaise with during the wedding, having the bride and grooms best interests at heart. Guy Milnes was the photographer at our wedding at Pencoed House in Cardiff. He did a fantastic job and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer. The pictures were stunning - Guy has a really good eye for capturing our friends and family having a good time as well as those other special moments of our wedding day. My husband and I had a really short lead time leading to the wedding. Both our venues are not very well lit venues, so we wanted someone who can shoot in low light. We came across Guy's website and were captivated by the way he uses light in his pictures, so we decided to reach out to him. Guy was super friendly and patient with our questions, and was accommodating on the scheduling and we even managed to squeeze in an engagement shoot. When we finally meet him in person for the engagement shoot session, he made us feel very comfortable, and also took the time to listen to our suggestions as well. We were very impressed that he was able to give us previews from our engagement session in just ONE DAY! On the day of the wedding, we had no doubts that he was able to execute the "technical" aspect of wedding photography, but he also played a major part of calming my nerves before the wedding. It didn't feel like he was just the photographer, but he was as equally invested in the day as we were, and it really shows in the photos. More...

Found Guy via the internet and loved his style of real photography. I met up with him infromally and liked his apprach and work immediately. He was calmly competent at assimilating our requests and combining them with his own ideas.
On the day he moved around snapping away in the background but didnt interfere with the flow of the day, Several of our guests commented on how friendly and pleasent he was. He was very generous and patient and you can see he had a true passion for what he did.

We met Guy around 6months before our wedding. Being budget conscious we were keen to only have the parts of our day photographed that we would share (no PJ shots at 7. 30am!), so we looked for photographers that offered half day packages and were thrilled when we came across Guys' portfolio - perfect for our 3.15pm wedding at The Old Marylebone Town Hall.

When we met to discuss our requirements we truly had no idea what we were doing or what to ask for, but armed with his photo book Guy was most definitely able to steer us in the right direction. It was important for us for our photographs to be timeless and show us at our most comfortable, neither of us enjoy being photographed so he certainly had his work cut out for him. Guy was professional, courteous and thoughtful in his approach to our big day, in both the build up and on the day itself.

Whilst being relatively relaxed about the whole day in general, we had a couple of conflicting requirements; "we don't want too fake, we don't want too posed" and "please pose people so that we all look nice in the shot". Thankfully Guy knew exactly what I was talking about and on the day he managed to hit both requirements and took some truly wonderful shots of our wedding.

He was completely unobtrusive, even in what was a very small venue for both the ceremony and reception, and was happy to head over to a third location for a few shots in Regents Park. Importantly he was able to recognise when we'd had enough and didn't push for 'one more shot' and our family found him friendly and accommodating.

Our photos were ready for us when we returned off honeymoon which was great, and we're absolutely delighted with them. Even after the final invoice has been paid Guy continues to be responsive to extra requests and questions.

From the bottom of 2 awkward photo subjects hearts, thank you for providing us with the most beautiful visual cues to our memories of our great day - we will treasure them always.
