Matthew is a great relaxed teacher.
I have made good progress on my weekly lessons.

Great teacher, so patient and great at finding ways around niggly sections of songs. I had learned a few chords before starting lessons with Matthew but found them tricky to move between and he helped me find easier ways to play them.

I started learning guitar and had learned some chords . COVID and lockdown stopped lessons . I found Matthew and was a bit reluctant to do “Zoom” anyway I’m getting the hang of it and Matthew is a very patient teacher( he needs to be) he’s very good and explains things in laments terms . What can I say….? I couldn’t play guitar and now I can! Mat is such a nice guy firstly, but he’s also a fantastic guitar tutor. I, unfortunately, had to cancel and reschedule quite a few of my lessons, he was so patient and he worked around me, which I appreciate so much - thanks again Mat. Matt is a really nice person and patient teacher. In the short time I practised I learnt a few songs both lead guitar and how to play some chords and he was very encouraging.

Hi I was a complete beginner and decided to have some lessons Matt at guitar function was recommended and was really impressed with matts professional approach and patience a great teacher really helpful with information and techniques taught me some 6 string & bass music I would like to think I can call him a friend as well now would highly recommend to anyone thinking of trying to play guitar and try lessons

Matt is a very patient teacher who will try various methods to suit the student in order for them to reach their goals. He works at a speed again of the student and not at a set one which makes any student feel more comfortable and willing to learn thus making the lessons much more enjoyable. Matt is always open to suggestions for the lessons weather it be technique, a new song or going back over something previous. Matt is an incredible teacher. He is really versatile, and explores what kind of music inspires my daughter, and then builds up her technique and confidence playing music that she enjoys. My daughter really looks forward to her lessons, and asked me a few months ago if she could increase from 30 mins to 1 hour (which has never happened before in my household for a music lesson!). Matthew has been a great teacher for me, he listens to where I have difficulties and he gets me over them. He is friendly and professional & I have found my lessons enjoyable.
