We offer 1:1 and group lessons in Maths, English and Science at our picturesque tuition centre in The Park Estate, Nottingham. We can also provide lessons online if you are not able to travel to our centre. All our teachers are qualified, experienced subject-specialists who love working with students!

Guide tuition provides more than just academic foundations. After the first session with Shaila, astonishingly my son came out saying he’d enjoyed it. I was taken aback. This was the start of a change in his educational journey. Shaila is so in-tune with young people that she quickly puts them at ease and identifies the individual needs of her pupils. She created a great atmosphere, reinjected fun into learning, whilst stretching him to achieve his full potential. Shaila went through the English curriculum methodically, carefully managing everything that needed to be covered and extending his level of skill. She encouraged critical thinking and showed him how this could be applied to other subjects. For maths he had both Tom and Johnathan. Tom always started each session with a pep talk which seemed to get my son all hyped up and ready to take on even the most complex maths, he was a great tutor. When Tom moved over to exam marker this offered a new dimension to exam prep which took the worry out of exams. Johnathan continued the maths tuition and my son was so impressed with the level of his knowledge it took the worry out of getting stuck. Suddenly, there was no mathematical problem he didn’t feel he could take on, the worry evaporated and when he got stuck he would simply take it to Johnathan who cut through the complexity giving clear and followable steps to tackle problems. The progress he made was amazing. Guide offer a very holistic approach to learning and it was not only my son’s English and maths that improved. His overall view of learning, self-confidence and meticulous approach to revision was carefully fostered. Guide made light work of tacking tasks that had long felt impossible. Guide are very big on building young people up, encouraging them to understand the value of investing in their own education and teaching them that they can achieve if they work at it. They relate well to young people and very in-tune with them. Astonishingly, weekly lessons were looked forward to, and areas of struggle became areas of capability. Guide significantly raised his grades and helped him to feel well prepared for his exams. I expected help with maths and English and he got much more than I had expected possible. It is clear that Guide genuinely care about the young people they work with and are dedicated to creating the best possible outcomes for them. They go beyond the extra mile. “We have the highest praise for Tom in his approach to both educational and pastoral care. Despite a range of external challenges and changes to Anna’s course, he instigated a sound structure for the students. He set the format for regular feedback and made sure that he was available for discussion throughout the year. He was good at explaining the course content to students, maintaining motivation and making sure that they remained on track in line with course assignments. This is not an easy task given the circumstances that most tennis students finds themselves in e.g. away from home, constant pressure of training and having to constantly catch up on study whilst away on competition. My son Zak has been with Tom for the last year doing his Btec level 3 advance Diploma. Tom as a tutor has been an amazing teacher bringing out the best in my son instilling confidence with learning independently. Tom has a great understanding of young people and is very supportive and encouraging, he goes over and above as and when required along with stepping back encouraging my son to be more responsible with his learning. Mr Hady was a teacher in my high school and although I wasn't his student I went to him as I needed help with my creative writing for my GCSE English assignment.
