Describe your creative process.
(1) Take a brief from the client this would be an outline of the content of the project and the aims.
(2) Establish the work that is to be done to fulfil the brief and feed this back to the client
(3) Discuss a budget with some guidelines on the projected and the possibilities within this
(4) Present the client with initial ideas - supply as pdf down loads or quality print outs
(5) Produce further developments based on clients requirements to a more developed finished level
(6) Start final designs/artwork and prepare files for sign off and publication.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
A good comprehensive brief. Containing as much information and guidance that you feel is relevant to achieve what you are looking for and what it is required. Also an idea of what the budget is to be to fulfil this project or campaign.
Any special consideration including target audience and sectors.
What do you love most about your job?
Creating good appropriate work. Developing ongoing good relationships with clients and the pleasure of completing the set task to the satisfaction and hopefully delight of the organisations concerned.
What inspired you to start your own business?
To offer a genuinely professional service, initially this was to the educational sector. This has now broadened out into other client sectors. Also a wish to set my own challenges, work with the people I chose to work with and create work that I believed in.
