One of the few bars playing the Indian vs Pakistan match here in Edinburgh . Since we were here visiting relatives divided to drop in to enjoy some drinks and the match . There was a small Asian community gathering to enjoy the match . You could experience some overexcited Indians and Pakistan’s found. Easy over every run and wicket from their respective teams . Literally stumbled into the Globe last night and was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Great mix of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages at very reasonable prices. The staff very very friendly and the bar and toilets were very clean. The music was a great mix of oldies and current tracks and the DJ clearly knew what he was doing. I will most definitely be back to the Globe in the future. Make sure you put it on your Royal Mile pub crawl itinerary you won't be disappointed. More...

A hidden gem, it's just off the Royal Mile on Niddry Street, barstaff are really friendly and it's by far the cheapest drinks I've ever had in Edinburgh, great for watching sports too.

The place for watching sporting events in the heart of Edinburgh. Just off the Royal Mile you find a sports pub that has a wide selection of beers and at least the same amount of screens to show different events on different TVs. Ideally you come here before a game starts and ask to view it as the staff is reluctant to switch to a different channel mid-game. More...
