Once was for my stepfather's 60th birthday, the second was for my wedding breakfast, and the third was for my 50th birthday. On each visit the food and service have been superb, with great attention to detail. It is expensive, but not massively more than you would pay at a restaurant chain in the centre of Windsor. There's a good range of set price menus, a la carte, including meat and vegetarian options. The wine list is excellent, with informative notes to help you choose. Gilbey's is a super place to mark a special occasion (their expansion into the shop next door offering useful additional dining, including private areas). More...

We are former Windsorians visiting from Cornwall. We have eaten here many years ago when it was Eton Wine Bar. It has changed and grown so much since then. We had a delightful lunch with friends. This family owned restaurant caught our eye walking past.It’s website was easy to navigate and the on line menus and wine lists enticing. Booking was simple. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant to the moment we left we were treated well. Tish who looked after us, and her colleague both acknowledged us on arrival, the service was just the perfect balance between professional and friendly. The menu varied and food excellent.
