General Carpentry

Great Job - Gerry kindly carried out some carpentry work for us. Creation of under stairs shelf, under which we've now hidden our cats litter tray. Cat flap perfectly cut into door to access the litter tray. Nosing on stairs removed and re-fitted due to coming unplaced. Re-fitting of radiator cabinets, cutting them to perfectly fit around skirting whilst also re-securing the cabinet grills. Gerry was Punctual, respecting the house, work from home commitments and provides advise if sought. We have sought two additional quotes now around fitted wardrobes and a possible Garden Office. Thank you Gerry. More...

Q&As

In my working life I have made and build some wonderful thing all over Great Britain I've also fitted four shop in Sweden and one in Switzerland, I've built three house from scratch, converted about twenty loft conversions and about ten extensions

I grow up on a council estate, and we were very poor, when my parents left school and should of been getting higher education this was not an option, the second world war had started and my father joined the Royal Navy, and my mother went and work in a factory making switches and triggers, my father was medicale discharged with perforated ear drums due to none stop firing of anti aircraft guns, my parents meet after the war and got married, stared a family, my parent were very hard working and very honest, these values I think have rubbed off on to my brother, sister, and myself,
When you grow up going with out thing, it make you more determined to work hard and try to be successful, it also make you value things and money with more appreciation, I always from a very young age wanted to work for myself and buy my own house, get married and have a family, I always wanted to give my children a better life then I have had, so far Ive have tick all the boxes I dreamed of, Im getting to the point were I thinking about retirement, but not yet there is still work to be done

I'm honest, hard working, I try to keep good time keeping, with a lifetime of experience.
There is no substitute for experience, you can't buy it, you can't pass an exam it, it takes time, a long time

With my industry you can not do it remotely, its a hands on thing, its craft/skill thing, its making face to face contact, you can't hide behind a key board miles away, or at the end of a phone line, you have to get on site and do what you say you are going to do, and be judged for it

I have large container of ani bacteria fluid in my van, I always clean my hands and wear a mask before going on site, I try not to get to close to others
