Ricky has been working with me on two marketing projects recently. He has come up with some really innovative ideas for how to expand and grow our sales, by taking our existing products and entering new markets. He has a very strategic approach to marketing, which has helped us create a long term growth plan.

The second project was not quite ready for the marketing growth. Ricky was very honest with his advice and the position we were in, and has instead helped on a consultancy basis to get the brand foundations right before we hit the marketing growth stage. Ricky clearly has a genuine interest in growing his clients businesses into strong brands.

Q&As

The first thing about a great website is to understand the main objective of that website, whether that be to sell a product or service to a customer. Or perhaps promote your company, services, and gain brand awareness. Sometimes it can be just to ensure that you do not lose business to your competitors because you have not got that marketing/communication channel available. The steps afterwards are all about the design, and functionality geared towards that key objective.

What is the main purpose of the website? What would they like to achieve? When do you wish the website to go live? Will the website need ongoing updates applied? Will the customer be marketing their website elsewhere?

My process is simple, i do like to have a conversation with the customer firstly, to gain an understanding myself of their business and their key objective. I then do follow up with a short survey (if necessary) which will give me the key facts about their needs. I will then go draft a proposal for the client, and highlight key elements which will be implemented to meet their needs, this is on top of all the basics necessary to ensure we are on the same page.

This information would be covered in our initial talk, and questionnaire (if nesc). Usually it would be about the purpose of the website, the deign's they have seen online and like, and what are the key things they wish to promote.

I love being creative, and working with small companies, and helping them grow and understand their brand in the market.

I have worked for a few large advertising roles in the past, and i helped large blue chip corporations plan and deliver their marketing, on large scales. I then moved to a startup company, which i ran the marketing and sales strategies, and helped a business start from zero, to become a global power house in the sports industry. This experience, made me want to to this for other small companies and startups. I also live in a local town where their are a lot of independent business's, and in my private time i used my skills to help these companies keep up with the bigger corporate, and that gave me inspiration to start my own business of helping local / small business's.

I think i stand out from the crowd, because i do not only have a creative mind, but also a sales mind. Which is why when i work with clients I can help then achieve good results, aesthetically and functionality wise.
