Learning another language is beneficial for a number of reasons: it's useful in both business and travel, it's interesting when you begin to see how various languages intersect and it can provide a different lens through which to view our world.

Thanks to the open day at Maitri today I tried yoga for the first time in my life, I loved it & I’m definitely hooked. I’m 42 & had spinal surgery a few years ago so am often very wary about new exercise. My sister teaches at Maitri & knows all about my back problems so she recommended that I try Andrew’s Iyengar class. I had no idea what to expect but have come away feeling invigorated, refreshed & surprised at what I could do. Andrew is an excellent teacher who inspires you to have a go whilst quietly challenging & supporting/assisting in exactly the right measures. Maitri is a lovely space to be in & seems to attract a friendly, diverse, warm bunch of people. So glad I’ve discovered it & yoga! Would Highly recommend cocoon yoga with Sandra, just recently started doing sandra’s class she is an amazing cocoon yoga teacher, she explains everything so well before you do each yoga move and takes you through each move step by step with so much ease and patience. I have found after doing Sandra’s cocoon yoga class I am already becoming so much more flexible and relaxed. I have a 12 year daughter and I haven’t slept a full night sleep from the day she was born and after my first yoga class just last week I slept my first full night sleep in nearly 12 years. I absolutely love cocoon yoga and can’t wait each week to go back and try each yoga move and push myself each week to further my stretches and work on my cocoon yoga technique’s. ❤️ More...

Have been attending a yoga class at Maitri studio for nearly 2 years and can highly recommend it. There are several yoga teachers , levels and style of yoga class on offer and a wide range of holistic classes/workshops to try . The studios are very well equipped and also fitted with ropes at two levels . Aerial yoga is also on offer. It is easy to book online , and with individual teachers. Various treatments are also on offer , there are comprehensive listings online or on the noticeboards at Maitri. Well worth a visit ! More...

Maitri studio is a warm, inviting, and inclusive calm space in East Belfast. The studio is well-equipped and teachers are kind and supportive. There are options for all budgets and you will find a broad offering: classes, workshops, events. Get a holistic treatment, take a yoga class, or learn a snew skill.
