I came across Freedom Pet Support whilst looking for someone who could provide caring puppy services during the day whilst away at work. I was highly recommended to contact Adele and upon meeting her quickly realised that she would be perfect. Adele is so friendly, personable and knowledgeable, she made our puppy, Max, feel just as instantly at ease as she did me! She has worked with and supported us with Max’s puppy training (& continued with training that we’ve been working on in classes), boosted his confidence both in the car and on a lead, and regularly offers up & incorporates her own expertise to complement his needs. Max has really come on in the few weeks we’ve been with Adele already and thoroughly enjoys spending time with her. We feel so reassured to know our puppy is being so well cared for and looked after whilst we’re away at work. As he’s now slightly older and we’re able to leave him for longer, we’ve been able to work with Freedom Pet Support to agree some changes to Max’s needs and Adele has been so wonderful and accommodating. One such change is he now gets to interact and socialise with other puppies. Adele runs different puppy group walk sessions during the day and she carefully selects the dogs for each group to ensure their personalities are best matched to maximise enjoyment. She really is brilliant. She’s also going to housesit to look after our cats in the coming months so we can get away for the weekend to visit friends we rarely see who live a long way away! Adele looked after out 14 year old jack Russell and our 18 month old lab overnight whilst we were at our daughters wedding , we got regular updates and the dogs were well fed and had lovely long walks , they were both happy and content when we arrived home. where do we start!! adele has been a blessing in our lifes, we dont have a small dog yet she walked straight and hasnt looked back. conte is a really big puppy and the evil glares we get because on how vicious he looks but at heart he is a big blob of fluff. Adele never questioned him and has formed a beautiful bond. she has started training with conte and each walk he has becomes better and better. she takes her time to let the dog build a bond, bulid trust and just has fun doing this. she even took my hubby out for his training ???? because as we said "its not the dog, its the husband with bad habits" and my husband came back with new strategies for his walks with our pooch. adele is honest, she is reliable, she is a beautiful blessing. we will be seeing adele for years to come. she has taugh us and has been consistent. conte will now have a right mard on him if he doesnt see adele! which in our eyes she has made a lovely impact on his life and ours. thank you adele from the bottom of our hearts. if you are looking for somebody to look after your animal please PLEASE contact adele you honestly wont be disappointed. she is a true person with a passion beyond anything for the love of animals. I have recently asked Adele at Freedom Pet Support to help with walking Magda our Staffador whilst my partner and I are at work. Magda is a rescue dog from Cyprus and only arrived in the UK 3 weeks ago with no training etc. Adele has been fantastic at introducing Magda to the magic of walks, training her as well as socialising her with other doggy friends! What inspired you to start your own business?
I was at a crossroads in jobs. I used to love working outdoors when I was a post lady and adore exercising my own dog. My daughter said I should go for it.
Why should our clients choose you?
We're extremely flexible, we will try and accommodate as best we can at short notice if we have availability. We're easy going and will try and help with any behavioural issues if we can.(I am not a qualified dog trainer however).
I believe our business is unique locally, as we offer live Facebook updates in a private client Facebook Group showing you where we are walking with your dog.
We try and vary the routes we take on a regular basis to prevent the dogs getting bored. We provide enrichment and ensure dogs have a good sniff around, quality over quantity!
We are very much of the mindset that it is the dogs walk, not ours. Their happiness is always our priority!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I use my own easy clean biothane leads, poo bags and treats to minimise client contact. Door to door contactless handover or lockbox/key entry if house is unoccupied.
Group Dog Walk
A 1 hour walk with up to 3 other well matched dogs in the Leicestershire countryside.
Solo Dog Walk
A 1 hour one to one walk, just your dog and I.
Cat Visits
30 minute cat visits at your home. Includes feeding, tray cleaning, and play. Other services such as plant watering etc are available by request.
