I am a pianist who has been playing for 18 years, and after realising that music is my heart and soul, I decided to pour that love into teaching others what I have learned over the years. Hence, Valse was born! I provide online practical and theory piano lessons, compositional lessons, and improvisational lessons to the highest standard as I always take care, patience, and pride in my work.

Florentia is one in a melon (million) as my daughter would say. From the heart, if you are currently looking for a piano tutor, then Florentina is quite honestly your only option. If you would like your son/ daughter to be taught by a truly caring tutor, who is thorough and precise. I am so glad that I found Florentina. Within a year or two I can tell that Florentina will be fully booked up for lessons each day of the week, that she tutors. Truly an amazing piano tutor. Florentia is always on time, Florentia sets out theory homework, to be completed by the next class. Also, Florentia goes through the homework during the lesson if it is not understood. What do you love most about your job?
The thing I love most about teaching is the ability to help and teach others what I have learned, and help them to achieve the most and best out of their talents!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Since playing the Piano from age 3, it has become a passion of mine. I adore teaching and performing, so this is the perfect fit! I get along very well with most people, and I have a calming nature about myself. I’m incredibly patient and I understand that everybody works at different paces. I feel that I have have all of the best qualities necessary to being a private tutor.

I provide my services online via Zoom, Skype, or any other platform that suits the student.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I teach online so there is no risk of Covid-19! I am fully vaccinated and if I were to teach in person going forward I would be wearing a mask, and will kindly ask the student to do the same.
Piano and Keyboard Lessons
Each lesson is methodical, carefully thought out and tailored specifically to students of all ages and abilities. The lessons always come with homework which will usually be to practice before every lesson, and/or written theory work. I teach all styles of playing and theory. I always ensure my students are satisfied with the lessons and that they make progress every week. I take pride in my work, and I am thrilled to be teaching others what I have learned over my 18 years of being a pianist.
GCSE, A Level, and PRO Composition
I teach composition for the piano, keyboard and vocals for beginners - experts. I also teach through Logic and Garageband for GCSE, A Level and professional DJs and producers who need some piano or vocal parts for their piece. I have a GCSE and A Level in music so I teach everything needed to help a student to do well in their studies.
Improvisation and Performance
I teach students how to improvise using different rhythms, chords, and melodies, and filling out empty music. I also teach the skills to perform in public.
GCSE music tutoring
I tutor for GCSE music as I have the qualification myself and I know the criteria very well. Homework is almost always set so that students can prepare well for their exams.
A Level music tutoring
I have an A level in music so I teach it to my A level students as I know the criteria very well. Homework is almost always set to ensure the students can achieve their best.
GCSE English
I have a Bachelors degree with Honours in English at Queen Mary University London, and so I teach English up to that level. Homework is always set and the lessons are methodically approached.
