Adam is a great personal trainer as he’s not just your trainer he’s a fab friend, confidante and a barrel of laughs! I learned a lot from him and gained confidence in myself to achieve things that i thought and voiced i couldn’t do with all his help and advice. Thanks Adam!

I had all the gym equipment at home for years, yet never really bothered with it. I signed up with Adam for three months. Right from the start he is easy to chat to and puts you at ease . I really appreciated the mental health support he gave as well, which can be difficult when being honest about yourself. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He got me going to the gym and helped me kick start my goal of a better body at the age of 42. Highly recommended. More...

Q&As

First of all by listening. The first question I ask a new client is "why?" as i need to know the underlying fundamental emotions (sustainable) driving this change. it have to be lifestyle change, it has to be for your own personal reasons, not those of others. They have to be realistic and achievable.

Patience, (weight doesn't come on overnight, it won't disappear overnight), good technique, honesty with yourself, a willingness to learn, dedication (4 hours per week is enough), an understanding of body shape.

Hearing people say "you've changed my life". Whilst it is lovely to hear that, it's the client who has put in the work, and must be celebrated.

I have a unique approach to this industry, the more the individual understands the body, the more they have the power to change it. I am a gay man and initially set up this business to help other gay men on their 40's achieve the body I have at 50. I set up fitdaddy as a bit of a dig at myself, but it kind of
stuck. I understand fully the peer pressure people feel under to "fit in" and feel validated and approved. I have a lot of female clients too who feel safe with a gay male trainer. Initially I came into the business after recovering from a leg injury 8 years ago, never having been into a gym in my life. I loved it. I love the power we have to change ourselves, how it makes us feel. I am fascinated by the human body, its mechanics and aesthetics. And I can draw on my own experiences. As an older trainer I understand life. Im not afraid to discuss mental health issues, issues around sexuality, bullying, validation, bereavement. And I can make it relevant to the individual, thus giving them the an
ability to move forward and the power to succeed.

My experience, understanding, empathy, qualifications, my approach, knowledge, congruence, balanced approach, lack of judgement. If i can look like this at 50, anyone can. Plus I listen, I support, motivate, teach, inspire and change lives.
